Can tint, PPF and ceramic coating be done in one visit?
Yes. The three jobs work on different surfaces in a fixed order, so one booking can cover all of them without one getting in the way of another.
- Paint prep and correction. The paint is decontaminated and, if it needs it, corrected. This happens once and serves both the film and the coating.
- PPF. LLumar Platinum goes onto the clean paint. Its own surface already has HydroGard water repellency, according to LLumar’s Platinum Gloss page.
- Ceramic coating. It goes on last because it’s meant to cover the film as well as the paint; the four-layer Signature package is built to coat both.
- Window tint. Tint is cut on a plotter and fitted on the inside of the glass, so it doesn’t depend on the paint work and is done while the car is already in.
A full walk-through of each step for a new car, with the coverage options, is on new car protection.
How many days does a combined visit take?
Add the PPF days to the coating days; tint fits inside them. On the shop’s published ranges, that comes to between 2 and 8 days, depending mostly on how much of the car gets film.
| What you book | PPF | Coating | Ranges added together |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tint, Partial Front PPF, coating | Usually 1 day | 1–3 days | About 2–4 days |
| Tint, Full Front or Track Package PPF, coating | 1–2 days | 1–3 days | About 2–5 days |
| Tint, Full Vehicle PPF, coating | 3–5 days | 1–3 days | About 4–8 days |
A full tint is a two-to-four-hour job on a typical sedan or SUV, so it’s done during the days the car is already here. The bulk of a coating’s one to three days goes on preparing the paint. Heavier correction stretches the totals: two-stage work adds a day or two, and a full restoration three days or more, quoted after inspection. These are published ranges added up honestly, not a promise, so ask for drop-off and pickup dates with your quote.
What are the cure-time rules after a combined install?
Three rules overlap in the first week: keep the car dry for 24 hours, keep the windows up for three to five days, and don’t wash the film for seven days. Book everything together and they run at the same time instead of one after another.
| Rule | How long | Which job it protects |
|---|---|---|
| Keep the car dry | 24 hours after pickup | The fresh coating |
| Keep the windows up | 3–5 days | The tint, while it cures |
| Don’t wash the car | 1 week | The new PPF |
| Slight haze or tiny water bubbles in the tint | Can show during the first week | Normal; they evaporate |
After the first week: hand or touchless washes, pressure nozzles kept off film edges, and tinted glass wiped with microfibre and a cleaner without ammonia. The tint side is covered in rolling the windows down after a tint.
The 24-hour dry rule is the one the weather decides. Environment Canada’s climate normals for Abbotsford record precipitation on 20.8 days in an average November against 7.3 in July. If the car will sit outside after pickup, a summer booking makes a dry first day far more likely; in the wet months, have a garage or carport ready.
What do you gain by booking everything together?
One prep, one coating session over fresh film and paint, one week of aftercare and one quote. For most new cars that’s the simplest way to get there.
- Prep is done once. The decontamination and correction that film needs is the same prep a coating needs.
- Nothing is left half-treated. Film and paint are coated in the same session, so there’s no stretch of the car that missed the coating because it was done on a different day.
- One set of aftercare rules. You live with a single week of restrictions instead of repeating them for each job.
- One drop-off, one total. You see the full cost up front and the car comes back finished.
When should you stage tint, PPF and coating instead?
Stage the work when the budget, the paint or your calendar says so, and keep the order: film before coating, tint whenever it suits.
- Budget: put film on the front first, before the car meets winter highway grit; the coating and tint can follow. Timing film on a new car is covered in PPF in a new car’s first days.
- You can’t spare the car: four to eight days for full-vehicle film and a coating is a long time without a daily driver. Splitting film and coating into two shorter visits works.
- The paint needs restoration: a multi-stage correction is three days or more on its own, and it makes sense to settle that before film goes on.
- Wet-season delivery and no cover: do the film now and book the coating for a drier month.
- Undecided on film coverage: tint is independent of the paint, so it can go on now while you decide between a partial front and more.
If the car already has a coating when you come in for film, mention it on the booking so we can plan the prep for it.
How do you book a combined visit in Langley?
List the services you want and your year, make and model on the quote form, and ask for drop-off and pickup dates along with the price. Rear-glass tint starts at $220 for a coupe and $240 for a sedan, film at $850 for the Partial Front package or $1,550 for Full Front coverage, and the coating is quoted per vehicle.
The packages are listed on window tint, paint protection film and ceramic coating. If you’re weighing film against a coating rather than doing both, PPF vs ceramic coating sets them side by side. Questions before you book? Text 604 534 6433 with your car and the combination you have in mind.
