How do you get a price from Brookswood Tint?

Window tint and PPF have published starting prices; everything else is quoted for your car. Give the shop your vehicle’s year, make and model with the work you have in mind, and it builds the price from there.

Behind the driver, ATC film costs from $220 for a sports coupe’s three windows, $240 on five windows of a sedan or pickup, and $260 on seven of a full-size SUV or wagon; front doors and windshields are on the window tint price list. IRX and AIR ceramic films are upgrades quoted per package, and bundles usually come in under the list total. The four Platinum PPF packages start at $850, $1,550, $1,900 and $4,000, and PPF cost in Langley breaks them down. Ceramic coating, vinyl wraps, chrome deletes, light film and paint correction have no published prices.

How long will your car be at the shop?

Anything from about an hour to five days, depending on the job. These are the shop’s published times.

Service Typical time at the shop
Window tint, full sedan or SUV 2–4 hours; most cars same day
Tint removal 1–3 hours
Headlight or taillight film 2–3 hours a pair
Headlight restoration About an hour (polish and seal) to half a day (with film)
Paint correction About a day (one stage) to 3+ days (multi-stage)
Ceramic coating 1–3 days
Paint protection film One day for the smallest package, up to 3–5 days for a whole car
Full vinyl colour change 3–5 days

A tint job runs longer on vans, on awkward rear glass, and when someone else’s old film has to be stripped first. The steps behind those times are laid out on our process.

What can be tinted on a car in BC?

Any glass behind the driver’s seat, as dark as you like, and a strip along the windshield’s top 75 mm. MVAR s. 7.05(8) adds one condition for the back window: mirrors on both sides of the car. There is no percentage to meet behind the driver, and the front side glass can’t carry film of any kind, not even clear.

Ask for the front doors or the whole windshield and the shop will do it, once you’ve heard that it’s illegal to drive that way in BC. A tint ticket usually costs $109, per Mission RCMP, and an officer can also write a Notice & Order, which means stripping the film and getting the car inspected. The full rules are on the BC window tint laws guide.

What care does the car need right after pickup?

Each service has its own short wait. Following it is what keeps the result looking right.

  • Window tint: don’t lower the tinted windows for 3 to 5 days. Faint haze or tiny pockets of water during week one are part of curing and fade without help.
  • Paint protection film: give it seven days before any wash, and after that stick to hand or touchless washing. LLumar’s PPF FAQ sets its own minimum at three days.
  • Ceramic coating: no rain, sprinklers or washing for the first 24 hours.

From week two on, tinted glass wants nothing more than microfibre and a glass cleaner without ammonia, and never a scraper.

What happens if something goes wrong with the film later?

Call or text the shop with your invoice and a photo. Window tint is warranted for life on the film and the workmanship, LLumar Platinum PPF for 10 years, STEK light film for 7 and 3M or Avery vinyl for 5, all as the shop publishes them. How each one works, and what usually isn’t covered, is on the warranty page.
