Paint Correction
Paint correction is the essential first step in achieving a truly pristine vehicle. By carefully removing swirl marks, light scratches, oxidation, and other surface imperfections, we restore the clarity, depth, and smoothness of your paintwork.
Whether you're prepping for ceramic coating or just looking to elevate your vehicle's appearance, this process ensures a clean, even canvas with a high-gloss finish.
Stages
We measure paint thickness before we polish so we only remove what needs removing.
Single stage · 60 to 80% defect removal
One stage with a fine polish. Removes light swirls and haze and adds gloss. The standard prep under a ceramic coating on a newer car.
Two stages · 85 to 95% defect removal
A cutting compound followed by a finishing polish. Takes out deeper swirls, wash marring, water spots and most light scratches.
Three or more stages · quoted after inspection
Wet sanding where safe, heavy compounding, then refining and jeweling. For neglected, oxidized or heavily scratched paint that still has clear coat to work with.

The same standard on every car
We use cutting compounds, polishes, and tools trusted by top-tier detailers to safely remove swirls, oxidation, and paint defects, while preserving the integrity of your clear coat.
Paint correction is equal parts art and science. Our trained technicians work panel by panel with multiple stages of refinement to restore clarity, depth, and shine, without overcutting or rushing the process.
From showroom cars to weather-worn commuters, we've restored finishes across all makes, models, and conditions. Whatever you drive, we'll bring out its best.
Not every paint job needs the same level of correction. We offer single-stage and multi-stage packages based on your vehicle's condition and your goals, so you get results that make sense.
Corrected paint is bare paint. Sealing it under a graphene-ceramic coating or paint protection film keeps the swirls from coming back with the first winter of washing.
Asked at the counter
Straight answers about paint correction. Anything else, call or text the shop.
Almost always washing: dirty mitts, automatic brush washes and drying with a towel that has grit in it. Sun on a dark car shows every one of them. Correction removes them and a coating plus a proper wash routine keeps them away.
Anything that hasn't gone through the clear coat can be polished out. If a fingernail catches in the scratch it is usually too deep, and we'll tell you honestly rather than chase it and thin the clear.
An enhancement polish is a day. Two-stage correction is one to two days, and a full restoration on a large or badly neglected car can be three or more. We work panel by panel under inspection lighting.
Yes, and it's common. Dealer prep and transport often leave a new car with more swirls than a well-kept ten-year-old one. We measure thickness first and use the least aggressive combination that fixes what we find.
We strongly recommend it. Correction removes a few microns of clear coat to level the surface; a coating replaces that with a sacrificial layer and locks in the gloss.
