How much is PPF on a Toyota RAV4?
From $850 for the bumper and the leading edges to $4,000 for the whole RAV4. Each package is LLumar Platinum, a self-healing film laid from software-cut templates, with the edges tucked around the panel wherever its shape allows.
| RAV4 package | Coverage | Price from |
|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | Whole bumper; first section of hood and fenders; headlamps; mirrors | $850 |
| Full Front | Entire hood and fenders, bumper, headlamps, mirrors | $1,550 |
| Track Package | Full Front, plus A-pillars, roof leading edge, rocker panels | $1,900 |
| Full Vehicle | All paint on the vehicle, headlamps included | $4,000 |
Treat those as floors. A grade with extra bumper pieces or a wider body can price higher, as can paint that has to be corrected before film goes on. LLumar’s warranty on Platinum is a limited one lasting 10 years; peeling, bubbling, cracking and yellowing are the defects the shop says it covers. The film’s own page is LLumar Platinum PPF.
Why does the grade change a RAV4’s PPF pattern?
Because Toyota gave the 2026 RAV4 three different front ends. Its launch release describes “core, adventure-ready, and sport designs” across seven grades, and the parts that differ are the ones film covers first.
| 2026 grade | Front-end parts Toyota lists as unique | Body width |
|---|---|---|
| LE, XLE, XLE Premium, Limited | Core design | 1,854 mm |
| XSE, XSE Technology Package | Sport front fascia, front and rear bumpers, over-fenders, mirrors | 1,854 mm |
| Woodland | Bumpers, grille, skid plate, over-fenders | 1,880 mm |
A template drawn for the core bumper won’t fit the XSE’s fascia or the Woodland’s skid plate, so the shop needs the grade, not just “2026 RAV4”, before it cuts. For a 2019 to 2025 RAV4, give the year and trim and the pattern comes from that generation’s files.
Where does a RAV4 pick up stone chips?
On paint that meets the road head-on: the face of the bumper, the hood’s front edge, the tips of the fenders and the mirror shells. Toyota calls the 2026 nose a “hammerhead” front fascia, and whatever the styling, that face and the hood edge above it take the hits.
Around Langley, a lot of that comes from winter grit. TranBC limits the abrasive spread on main highways to pieces of 9.5 mm or less, and by its own figures a stone hit at highway speed, 110 rather than 80 km/h, lands almost twice as hard. Partial Front guards the full bumper and the start of the hood, where most strikes land; Full Front runs the film all the way back to the windshield. Partial or full front PPF walks through that choice panel by panel.
Toyota lists a rear bumper protector on the Limited and XSE. On the other grades, if heavy gear goes in and out over the back, ask for the rear bumper’s top surface to be added to your front package quote.
What sensors are in a RAV4’s bumpers?
Radar, sonar and cameras, depending on the grade, and the film has to stop short of each one. Toyota Canada lists these for 2026:
- Dynamic Radar Cruise Control on every grade, part of Toyota Safety Sense 4.0, which means a radar unit looks out through the front.
- Intelligent Clearance Sonar and Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking on every grade except the LE, with sensors set into both bumpers.
- Panoramic View Monitor cameras on the XSE, XSE Technology Package and Limited.
- Turn signals built into the side mirrors from the XLE up.
Tell the shop your grade so the template matches your sensor layout, and ask where the film edge will sit around each sensor before the job starts.
How do you book PPF for a RAV4 in Langley?
Let the shop know the year, grade, paint colour and the package you’re considering. After a look at the paint, it sets the package price for your particular bumper and offers a drop-off date, with the RAV4 back in about a day for Partial Front or a day or two for Full Front. Start on the RAV4 PPF quote form. The glass can be done during the same stay; RAV4 window tint begins at $260 for the back half of the car.
