Hyundai Ioniq 9 Window Tint in Langley, BC

At a glance

On a Hyundai Ioniq 9, Brookswood Tint's SUV rear package costs from $260 in LLumar ATC and covers the glass from the rear doors back. Hyundai Canada fits rear privacy glass to every 2026 Ioniq 9, so the film goes over glass that's already dark. Ceramic IRX or AIR costs more and is priced per package, and the panoramic sunroof on Luxury and Calligraphy models gets its own quote.

What does an Ioniq 9 cost to tint?

Behind the front seats, an Ioniq 9 starts at $260 in LLumar ATC on the shop’s SUV rear package. Ceramic IRX or AIR on that glass is priced per package; the roof and the front glass have their own figures.

A computerized plotter cuts the film to the Ioniq 9’s outline, and each piece is heat-shrunk to its curve and fitted by hand. The lifetime warranty covers the film itself and the labour. Ask for a whole-vehicle price if you want more than one area done, since a bundle usually comes in under the separate figures.

What glass does Hyundai fit to the Ioniq 9?

Darkened glass at the back and treated glass at the front. Hyundai Canada’s 2026 Ioniq 9 product card lists “Rear Privacy Glass” and a “Tinted Windshield & Front Door Glass” on the Essential RWD, and every other trim builds on that content.

Hyundai’s Ioniq 9 showroom page adds “Acoustic Windshield and Front and Rear Glass”, described as an extra sound-dampening layer, and an available solar windshield and front door glass it calls “heat-reducing, UV-blocking”. Hyundai doesn’t publish how much light the privacy glass lets through. Film multiplies with it: a 20% film on 20% glass lets through roughly 4% of the light. Compare a sample against your own rear glass before choosing.

Which Ioniq 9 trims add a glass roof and door shades?

The Preferred AWD with Luxury Package and the Ultimate Calligraphy. The product card gives the Luxury Package a panoramic sunroof and rear door sunshades, and the Ultimate Calligraphy includes all of that content.

Roof glass is quoted per vehicle, since its size and curve vary too much for a posted price. The sunshades and the film do different jobs: a shade darkens the door glass while it’s drawn, and film cuts heat and UV on every drive. For the third row, the Ioniq 9 seats seven as standard (2+3+2) or six (2+2+2) on the Ultimate Calligraphy, so the glass beside the back bench carries passengers too. Every LLumar film the shop fits blocks more than 99% of UV.

Does tint affect the Ioniq 9’s cameras and head-up display?

Not on the rear glass. Hyundai says the Calligraphy’s full-display digital rearview mirror takes “an optimized video feed from a rear-spoiler camera”, so that camera sits in the spoiler rather than looking through the back glass.

The windshield is a different matter. Hyundai’s showroom page says Lane Following Assist and Lane Keeping Assist use “a windshield-mounted camera”, and the Calligraphy adds a 10-inch head-up display. Rain-sensing wipers are standard. A full windshield film puts a layer in front of all of that, which is a strong reason to stop at the top 75 mm strip BC allows, and to check that strip against the camera before deciding.

What does BC law allow on an Ioniq 9?

Any shade behind the driver, provided there are outside mirrors on both sides, which the Ioniq 9’s dual heated side mirrors cover. MVAR s. 7.05(8) rules out film of any shade on the front doors and allows the windshield only a 75 mm band at the top.

Hyundai already tints the front door glass at the factory; that’s built into the glass, not added film. Film on those doors goes on only at the owner’s request, once the shop has explained that BC tickets it (typically $109), officers can require its removal, and an inspection will reject it. The full rule is in tinting front windows in BC.

How do you book Ioniq 9 tint in Langley?

Send the trim and model year, and whether you want the roof done. The shop sends back a price for the rear glass, the ceramic upgrade cost and, if you asked, the roof.

LLumar’s performance data sheet rates IRX at 50 to 62% total solar energy rejected (TSER), about 20 points more than ATC’s 28 to 44%. For what that does and doesn’t mean for range, read whether tint improves EV range, and the EV window tint page covers electric cars in general. Book with the Ioniq 9 tint request or call 604 534 6433.

Questions about hyundai Ioniq 9 window tint

01Does the Ioniq 9 count as a full-size SUV for front-door pricing?

No. The shop's $160 front-door price is for full-size SUVs and pickups; a three-row electric SUV like the Ioniq 9 is on the $140 front-door price. Front-door film isn't road-legal in BC either way.

02How long does an Ioniq 9 take to tint?

Plan on two to four hours for a full tint, usually finished the same day. Roof glass or old film to remove adds time.

03Can the rear door sunshades stay in place after tinting?

Yes. The sunshades are separate from the glass, and film goes on the glass itself. Keep the rear windows shut for the three to five days the film needs to cure.

04Can the Ioniq 9's third-row glass go darker than the second row?

Yes. BC sets no darkness limit behind the driver, so each row can take its own shade. Remember that the factory privacy glass is already dark and multiplies with whatever film goes over it.
