What does PPF cost on an Acura RDX?
Four self-healing LLumar Platinum packages apply to the RDX, priced from $850 at the light end to $4,000 for every panel. Which trim’s bumpers you have, and whether the paint needs correcting, decide the exact figure.

The 10-year term is LLumar’s manufacturer’s limited warranty. Four faults are listed as covered in the shop’s published terms: yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling. Each piece is software-cut and the edges are wrapped where the panel gives room. Partial or full front compares the two front packages side by side.
How did the 2025 refresh change the RDX’s front end?
It took the frame off the grille. Acura’s 2025 refresh release gives the RDX a “frameless” Diamond Pentagon grille with “more aggressive grille mesh”, alongside the four-element Jewel Eye LED headlights and Chicane LED daytime running lights.
Whatever the grille’s design, the film’s job is the paint around it: the bumper face and the hood’s front lip. The headlights are in every package, so the Jewel Eye lenses are covered whichever you choose. On Highway 1, where the Fraser Valley widening is under construction between 216th Street and Mt. Lehman, the nose is the part that meets the debris first.
Which RDX trims have extra trim to protect?
The Platinum Elite A-SPEC, mostly. The Canadian trims differ like this, per Acura Canada’s 2026 spec sheet:

Acura Canada’s RDX page also points to gloss black garnishes and door mouldings. The mirror caps are part of every package; other gloss black pieces are worth naming on the quote if you want them included.
Where are the RDX’s sensors?
In both bumpers on the upper trims. Both A-SPEC trims get eight parking sensors, four at each end, according to Acura Canada, and the Platinum Elite adds a surround view camera system. Those two trims also get a hands-free power tailgate, which Acura’s feature guide says opens when you “kick your foot beneath the center of the rear bumper”.
Film is trimmed around each sensor and camera rather than laid across them, and bumpers are where a relief cut is occasionally unavoidable; you’ll be shown the spot beforehand. If a parking or camera warning is already on, say so at drop-off.
How do you book PPF for an RDX?
Give the year, trim and colour, and which package you’re leaning towards. Acura Canada offers the 2026 RDX in Apex Blue Pearl, Liquid Carbon Metallic, Urban Grey Pearl, Majestic Black Pearl, Performance Red Pearl, Platinum White Pearl and Solar Silver Metallic; matte Platinum would give any of them a satin finish, so the finish choice comes first.
An RDX on Partial Front is normally done in a day; Full Front and Track need one or two, and Full Vehicle needs three to five. Don’t wash it for seven days. Then it’s hand washes or touchless bays only, with the pressure nozzle kept away from film edges.
