What’s the price of PPF for an IS?
The IS is priced on the shop’s four Platinum packages, with $850, $1,550, $1,900 and $4,000 as the starting points from Partial Front up to Full Vehicle. Paint condition and how much bumper detail there is set the final figure.

The shop fits LLumar’s self-healing Platinum, which carries LLumar’s 10-year manufacturer’s limited warranty; in the shop’s own terms, the covered faults are yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling. Software cuts the templates, edges get wrapped where there’s room, and a Partial Front IS usually takes a single day. Partial or full front weighs up the two front options.
Where does a Lexus IS take chips?
Low and forward. Lexus Canada’s 2027 IS specifications list a 140 mm ground clearance for the IS 350 AWD and an overall height of 1,440 mm, and its features page talks about a “low, wide profile” and “assertive front fascia”.
The 2021 redesign shaped most of what the film has to cover. Lexus’s 2021 IS release describes a three-dimensional spindle grille, with F SPORT versions using block forms in a mesh pattern and an air intake along the bottom. It also describes fenders extended to take larger wheels and rocker panels that kick up toward the rear. The painted bumper around that grille, the hood’s front edge and the fender tops ahead of the front wheels all sit in the spray zone; the rockers only come under film with the Track Package or Full Vehicle.
Winter grit is small but hard. TranBC says main highway abrasive is capped at 9.5 mm per piece, in its explainer on why the province spreads small rocks, and the same page names “windshield chips and paint dings” as what it can cause.
What do the F SPORT grades add to the panel list?
Mainly a rear spoiler and more colour choices to protect. The 2027 IS product summary lists a rear spoiler, red painted brake calipers and 19-inch F SPORT or forged BBS wheels on the F SPORT 2 and F SPORT 3, and the Special Appearance Package adds an exclusive Circuit Green paint.

The other 2027 colours are Iridium, Caviar, Ultrasonic Blue Mica 2.0, Army Green, Wind, Infrared, Cloudburst Grey and Ultra White. Any of these goes satin under matte Platinum, so choose between gloss and matte before the patterns are cut.
Which IS sensors and washers does the film work around?
It depends on the grade. Lexus Canada lists Intuitive Parking Assist with Auto Braking and a Panoramic View Monitor on the F SPORT 2, F SPORT 3 and Special Appearance Package, a backup camera on the F SPORT DESIGN, and headlamp washers on the F SPORT DESIGN and F SPORT 2.
The installer notes where your IS has sensors, cameras and washer covers, and trims the film edges around them rather than across. If a relief cut is unavoidable on a bumper curve, it’s pointed out to you before it happens. Mention any warning light that’s on before the job.
How do you book PPF for an IS?
Tell the shop the year, grade and colour, and which package you’re weighing up. Once the paint has been checked, cleaned of contamination and corrected where needed, the starting price becomes a firm one. Full Front or Track keeps an IS for one to two days; Full Vehicle takes three to five.
Leave the IS unwashed for seven days, then hand wash it or take it through a touchless bay, without pointing a pressure nozzle at any film edge. Get a price on the IS PPF quote form. Smoked lamps are a separate job, covered on Lexus IS headlight and taillight tint.
