How much does PPF cost on a Subaru Crosstrek?
The four LLumar Platinum packages start at $850, $1,550, $1,900 and $4,000. Your Crosstrek’s final figure depends on its trim, the shape of its bumper and how much the paint needs correcting first.
| Package | Covers | Starting price |
|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | Full bumper, partial hood and fenders, headlights, side mirrors | $850 |
| Full Front | Full hood, full fenders, full bumper, headlights, side mirrors | $1,550 |
| Track Package | Full front plus partial roof, A-pillars, rocker panels | $1,900 |
| Full Vehicle | All painted surfaces and the headlights | $4,000 |
Platinum is a self-healing film fitted from software-cut templates, wrapped around panel edges where the shape allows. It comes with LLumar’s 10-year manufacturer’s limited warranty, which the shop describes as covering yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling.
How much of a Crosstrek’s lower body is painted?
Less than you might expect. When Subaru launched the all-new 2024 Crosstrek, it said “Black wheel arch cladding and rocker panels provide a sharp contrast to the body color”, and Subaru of America’s 2026 Crosstrek specifications list wheel arch and lower body cladding on every trim. The paint starts above that band.
That changes the package maths. The Track Package’s rocker coverage is built for cars with painted sills; on a Crosstrek that area is mostly cladding, so ask what the rocker portion would cover before choosing it over a full front. The rocker panel PPF page explains the panel on cars where it’s painted.
Which painted parts of a Crosstrek take the hits?
The front bumper, the hood and the upper front fenders. Subaru describes the current Crosstrek’s face as “a frameless hexagonal grille, compact headlights, a more sculptural body, and a broad-shouldered stance”, and the painted bumper around that grille is the first surface a stone reaches. Subaru Canada sells the 2027 Crosstrek on its 220 mm of ground clearance and long-travel suspension; if you use them on gravel roads, the nose meets more stones.
Winter adds to it. TranBC says its contractors use “salt, salt brines, anti-icing agents and abrasives” on BC highways. For gravel-heavy driving, LLumar calls Platinum Extra its thickest PPF, “made for gravel roads, track racing, and harsh weather”; ask the shop whether it’s an option for your car. Does PPF stop rock chips sets out what film can and can’t do.
Why protect the top of a Crosstrek’s rear bumper?
Because that’s where cargo goes over it. Subaru sells a Rear Bumper Cover for the Crosstrek that, in its own words, “Helps protect the upper surface of the painted bumper from scratches and dings”. Anything loaded into the cargo area slides across that ledge on the way in.
Clear film is the other way to protect it without changing the look. The Full Vehicle package covers it along with every other painted panel; if you only want that strip done alongside a front package, ask for it to be quoted.
Do Crosstrek trims change what the film covers?
Slightly. On Subaru of America’s 2024 Sport, the grille, side mirrors and roof spoiler are finished in gloss black, while the Limited has body-colour mirrors with integrated turn signals; the mirrors are in every package either way. Every 2026 trim has LED steering responsive headlights, and the headlights are included in all four packages, so the lenses get film too.
How do you book Crosstrek PPF in Langley?
Send the year, trim, colour and how you drive the car, especially if gravel roads are part of it. The paint is decontaminated and, if needed, corrected before the film is laid.
A partial front is usually a day; plan on one to two days for a full front and three to five for the whole Crosstrek. Wait a week before the first wash. Request a figure through the Crosstrek PPF quote form, or compare the packages on the full front PPF page.
