Subaru Crosstrek Window Tint in Langley, BC

At a glance

A Subaru Crosstrek is tinted on the shop's SUV rear package, from $260 in LLumar ATC for the two rear doors, the small panes behind them and the liftgate glass. Ceramic upgrades are priced per package. Every Crosstrek has EyeSight looking through the windshield, so even the legal 75 mm strip at the top needs a look first, and BC allows no film at all on the front doors.

What does Crosstrek window tint cost?

From $260 for the rear glass in LLumar ATC, which is the shop’s posted SUV rear package. Ceramic film on those windows is quoted per package, the moonroof is priced separately, and the shop confirms the total for your year and trim.

Crosstrek glass Panes Starting price
SUV rear package Two rear doors, the quarter glass, the liftgate window $260
Ceramic upgrade (IRX or AIR) The same panes in ceramic film Quoted per package
Moonroof The roof glass, where fitted Quoted per car
Front doors Both front side windows $140, not road-legal in BC
Windshield, inside The full pane $200, road-legal only in the top 75 mm

Every piece is genuine LLumar, cut to the Crosstrek’s pattern by the plotter so no knife goes near the glass or trim. You get two lifetime warranties: LLumar’s limited one on the film and the shop’s on its work.

Why does EyeSight matter when you tint a Crosstrek?

Because Subaru’s driver-assist system reads the road through the windshield, and Subaru is strict about anything that could confuse it. Subaru of America’s 2026 Crosstrek specifications list EyeSight as standard on every trim, and Subaru Canada describes the 2027 Crosstrek as having EyeSight “with wide-angle mono-camera and Emergency Stop Assist”.

A Subaru service bulletin on EyeSight windshields, written for the 2013 Legacy and Outback, warns that reflections can interfere with the system’s stereo camera and that “Inside or outside water-repellant windshield coatings must never be used”. That bulletin predates this Crosstrek, but it shows how Subaru treats the glass in front of its cameras. The rear package never touches the windshield; for a top strip, read tinting a windshield with a driver-assist camera and ask the shop to look at your car first.

On all the glass behind the front seats, and along the windshield’s top edge to a depth of 75 mm. MVAR s. 7.05(8) puts no darkness limit on side glass behind the driver, and it permits back-window film on any vehicle with left and right outside mirrors, which the Crosstrek has as standard.

The front door windows are the line. Film there of any shade, even clear, isn’t road-legal, and the 2025 inspection manual rejects it under item 13d, with item 12e covering windshield film below 75 mm. The shop fits front doors or a full windshield on request after explaining the ticket and inspection risk; the details are in whether front windows can be tinted in BC.

How are the Crosstrek’s moonroof and liftgate glass handled?

The moonroof is priced on its own, and the liftgate window is part of the rear package. Subaru of America lists the power tilt and sliding moonroof as “95% UV light-reducing”, a figure it calls a calculated reference value rather than a test result, so film up there is about heat and brightness more than UV. The moonroof is optional or standard depending on trim and market, so check yours.

The liftgate window carries a single-speed rear wiper on every trim Subaru of America lists, so its film is cut on the plotter to clear the wiper and then shrunk with heat and laid over the defroster lines by hand. If there’s old film on it, steam takes it off without harming the defroster grid.

The current body arrived as the all-new 2024 Crosstrek, so tell the shop the model year: an older Crosstrek has its own glass patterns.

Which shade suits a Crosstrek?

Look at the rear glass in daylight before you choose. Subaru’s specification list doesn’t mention privacy glass, so you’re judging from the car itself. Film darkens whatever the glass already does; for example, a film that lets half the light through, over glass that passes 70%, leaves roughly 35%.

If you want Film LLumar figure
The lightest look with real heat cut AIR 80 77% visible light, 43% TSER
Dark glass and the most heat rejected IRX 50–62% TSER
Dark glass at the starting price ATC 28–44% TSER

All three block over 99% of UV, per the LLumar spec sheet.

How do you book Crosstrek tint in Langley?

Send the model year, trim, whether it’s a hybrid, and the film you’re leaning toward, and mention the moonroof if you want it included. You’ll get back the package figure plus anything you’ve added.

Most Crosstreks are done within the day. The film needs three to five days to cure, so the rear windows stay up until then. Reach the shop through the Subaru Crosstrek tint request or on 604 534 6433.

Questions about subaru Crosstrek window tint

01Will rear window tint interfere with EyeSight on my Crosstrek?

EyeSight looks forward through the windshield, and the rear package puts film only on the side windows behind the front doors and the liftgate glass. Windshield work is the part to discuss with the shop before booking.

02Is the Crosstrek's moonroof worth tinting if it already blocks UV?

It can be, for heat and glare. Subaru rates the moonroof glass at 95% UV light-reducing, so film up there adds heat rejection and shade more than UV protection.

03Do Crosstrek Hybrid models tint the same way?

The side and liftgate glass is handled the same way, under the same SUV rear package. Mention the hybrid when you ask, along with the trim, so the roof glass is accounted for.

04Can I use a rain-repellent product on my Crosstrek's windshield after tinting?

A Subaru service bulletin for EyeSight-equipped Legacy and Outback models rules out water-repellent products on the windshield, inside or out. Ask your Subaru dealer whether that guidance covers your Crosstrek; it has nothing to do with tint on the other windows.
