What do PPF packages cost on an Outback?
Four LLumar Platinum packages start at $850, $1,550, $1,900 and $4,000. A larger vehicle can price higher, so an Outback’s final figure depends on its panels, its trim and how much the paint needs correcting before film goes on.
| Package | What it covers | From |
|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | Full bumper, leading edge of the hood and fenders, headlights, mirrors | $850 |
| Full Front | Whole hood, whole front fenders, full bumper, headlights, mirrors | $1,550 |
| Track Package | Full front plus partial roof, A-pillars and rocker panels | $1,900 |
| Full Vehicle | Every painted surface and the headlights | $4,000 |
Platinum is self-healing, cut from software templates and wrapped around panel edges where the shape allows; on bumpers a relief cut is sometimes needed, and the shop shows you where before cutting. LLumar backs Platinum Gloss with a 10-year limited warranty, which the shop lists as covering yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling.
Which parts of a 2026 Outback are painted, and which are cladding?
The middle of the nose is paint; the bottom edge is not. Subaru of America’s 2026 Outback launch release describes body-colour styling elements framing the headlights and the larger grille, with a lower front fascia that “is textured for better scratch resistance,” and scratch-resistant cladding along the lower rear fascia as well.
Subaru Canada’s 2026 specifications add black lower cladding on the rocker panels and black wheel arch cladding on every trim, with a Wilderness-specific design of that cladding. The Wilderness also carries a matte black hood decal and anodized copper accents on its roof rails. Film is priced for the painted areas between all of that black trim, so a full front covers most of the forward-facing paint on this car.
Where does an Outback pick up stone chips?
On the painted bumper face, the front edge of the hood, the tops of the front fenders and the mirror caps. Those are the surfaces facing forward above the textured lower fascia, so they meet whatever the car ahead throws up.
Subaru Canada’s overview of the 2026 Outback pitches it at “gravel backroads,” with 220 mm of ground clearance, or 240 mm on the Wilderness. Highways bring their own grit: TranBC caps winter abrasive on main highways at 9.5 mm and notes that going from 80 to 110 km/h almost doubles the impact energy. The Fraser Valley winter rock chip guide covers the season in more depth.
At the back, Subaru’s own design hints at the wear: the release says the Outback’s washable cargo tonneau cover can be laid over the rear bumper to prevent scratches when loading. Clear film on the top of the painted bumper does the same job without being laid out each time; ask for it with any front package, or choose Full Vehicle.
What sensors sit in an Outback’s bumpers?
Every 2026 Outback has rear ultrasonic sensors, and the Premier XT adds a front radar. Subaru Canada’s safety page says Reverse Automatic Braking uses ultrasonic sensors in the rear bumper on all trims, lists front pre-collision braking with a front radar for the Premier XT only, and describes a rearview camera with its own washer.
Name the trim when you book so the bumper pattern is chosen for the sensors your car actually has. It’s one more reason the quote is written for the car rather than read off a list.
How do you book PPF for an Outback in Langley?
Send the year, trim and colour, and say how much gravel driving the car does. Paint is decontaminated and, where needed, corrected before film goes on. Plan on a day for a partial front, one to two days for a full front, and three to five for the whole car; wait a week before the first wash, then hand or touchless only. The full front PPF page explains that package in detail, and the Outback PPF quote form or 604 534 6433 gets you a price.
