How much does PPF cost on a Toyota Highlander?

On a Highlander the four packages run from $850 to $4,000, all in LLumar Platinum. LLumar’s product page describes a 10-year manufacturer’s limited warranty, and the shop’s terms name yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling.

Package What it covers From Time in the shop
Partial Front Whole bumper, leading part of the hood and fenders, headlights, mirrors $850 Usually one day
Full Front Full hood, fenders and bumper, headlights, mirrors $1,550 1–2 days
Track Package Full Front, then the A-pillars, the rockers and the front of the roof $1,900 1–2 days
Full Vehicle Every painted surface, headlights $4,000 3–5 days

The final figure depends on the panels, their complexity and the state of the paint. Every Highlander is decontaminated first, and corrected if the paint needs it, because film locks in whatever is underneath. Edges are wrapped where the panel allows; where a bumper needs a relief cut, you’re shown the spot before the film goes on.

Why doesn’t an XSE share a front pattern with a Limited?

Because Toyota builds them with different front ends. The 2026 Toyota Canada specifications give the XSE a sport grille, sport front and rear bumpers, black mirror caps and smoked headlamp and tail lamp surrounds, and list it at 5,015 mm long against 4,951 mm for the other grades.

The Limited and Platinum go the other way, with what Toyota calls a “Platinum Coloured Front Bumper & Rear Skid Plate”, and the Platinum adds what Toyota Canada’s 2025 launch release describes as unique platinum-grade exterior design features. The film is cut from a template for the bumper you actually have, so the grade matters as much as the year when you ask for a price.

Where do the radar and sonar sit on a Highlander?

The front radar is behind the Toyota emblem, according to the 2025 Highlander owner’s manual, which tells owners not to aim a high-pressure washer at it. The rear bumper holds the blind spot sensors.

Toyota’s manual also lists four systems that may stop working properly if the rear bumper paint is chipped or scratched: the Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Parking Support Brake and Intuitive Parking Assist. It asks owners to keep accessories and stickers, even clear ones, off the sensor area of that bumper. On the 2026 Limited and Platinum, Intelligent Clearance Sonar adds sensors to the bumpers too. Film is planned around all of these, and the installer can walk you through the cut lines.

Which Highlander package suits Fraser Valley driving?

For most owners, Full Front. Partial Front ends partway up the hood and fenders, which leaves a film edge across both; Full Front covers both panels to their back edges. Winter road crews give a good reason to go further forward than paint alone can handle.

On main highways, TranBC allows no piece of winter abrasive over 9.5 mm, and it says a jump from 80 to 110 km/h nearly doubles the energy a thrown stone hits with. A three-row SUV spending its winters on Highway 1 or the Langley Bypass collects that grit on the bumper, hood edge and mirrors first. Partial vs full front PPF sets the two packages side by side.

Does the 2028 electric Highlander change the coverage?

Yes. The fifth-generation Highlander is battery-electric, 1,990 mm wide, with broad fenders and geometric bumper corners that wrap around the headlamps, so none of the current patterns carry over.

Toyota Canada lists Spellbound, Wind Chill Pearl, Heavy Metal, Everest, Reservoir Blue and Midnight Black Metallic, with a black roof available on the Limited. Clear film leaves any of them looking as they left the factory. Once that model reaches Langley, it will be quoted from its own panels.

How do you book PPF for a Highlander in Langley?

Send the year, grade and colour, and say which package you’re leaning toward. A final figure follows once the paint has been looked at. Partial Front is normally a one-day job.

Hold off washing for seven days; after that, hand washing or a touchless bay is fine, as long as the pressure wand stays clear of the film’s edges. Use the Highlander PPF quote form, and if heat and glare are on the list too, see window tint for the Toyota Highlander.

Questions about toyota Highlander PPF

01Is PPF for a Highlander XSE priced the same as for an XLE?

Not automatically. The XSE has its own grille and sport bumpers front and rear, and Toyota Canada lists it 64 mm longer, so the front pattern differs. The shop quotes from the grade you drive.

02Can PPF go over the Highlander's front emblem?

The radar sits behind that emblem, and Toyota's manual tells owners to keep stickers, even clear ones, off radar sensors and the area around them. Ask the shop to show you where the film stops before it goes on.

03Does the matte version of the film suit a Highlander?

LLumar Platinum comes in gloss and matte. Matte turns gloss paint satin, so it changes the look of the whole panel it covers; most owners who only want protection choose gloss.

04When can I wash the Highlander after PPF?

Seven days after pickup. From then on a hand wash or a touchless bay suits the film, and brush tunnels don't.
