How much does it cost to tint a Kia Sorento?
The Sorento is priced on the shop’s SUV rear package: $260 and up in LLumar ATC for every window behind the front doors. Ceramic on those windows (IRX or AIR) has a per-package quote, and the SX’s panoramic roof is priced separately.

The plotter cuts the Sorento’s pattern for its model year, so the film is shaped without a blade on the glass or the seals, then fitted by hand with heat. The lifetime warranty covers the film and the work. When ceramic or roof film joins the rear package in one visit, the total usually comes in below the separate prices; ask for the combined quote. Which Sorento windows come as privacy glass?
The rear doors. Kia Canada’s 2026 Sorento Hybrid specifications list “privacy tinted rear door glass” on the LX, EX and SX, alongside an acoustic film windshield and solar glass up front. The Plug-in Hybrid sheet repeats the same glass on its three trims.
Film on privacy glass works like two filters in a row: 20% film over 20% glass lets through about 4%. Kia gives no transmission figure, so judge your own rear doors, and look at the liftgate and rear side glass as well, since Kia’s wording names only the doors. Tinting over factory tint explains how the layers combine. If you like the factory shade and want less heat, LLumar measures AIR 80 at 77% visible light with 60% infrared energy rejection (IRER).
How do the LX, EX and SX differ in glass?
Up front and overhead. The rear glass is the same on all three, but Kia adds laminated front door glass from the EX up and saves the panoramic sunroof for the SX.

Kia’s 2026 manual describes the panoramic sunroof as sliding and tilting from the overhead console. Roof film goes on the inside of the glass and is quoted on its own; give the trim when you ask.
What does Kia’s manual say about the Sorento windshield?
To leave it bare. The forward collision section of Kia’s 2026 Sorento manual says: “Never tint or install any accessories or stickers on the windshield.” The front view camera that drives the collision-avoidance, lane-keeping and smart cruise systems looks out through that glass.
BC’s rule points the same way. Only the top 75 mm of a windshield may carry film, and on a Sorento even that band has to stay clear of the camera’s view. The SX’s rain-sensing wipers also read the windshield, one more reason the shop talks you through windshield film before anything goes on.
Can you tint a Sorento’s front windows in BC?
No, on any trim. MVAR s. 7.05(8) keeps film to the glass behind the driver, a 75 mm band at the top of the windshield, and the back glass when both outside mirrors are fitted. Laminated front door glass on the EX and SX changes how the glass is built, not the law: film beside the driver is still outside the rule, whatever its shade.

How do you book Sorento tint in Langley?
Send the year, the trim and whether it’s the Hybrid or Plug-in Hybrid, and say if the SX roof is in.
