What does PPF cost on a Kia Sorento?
Prices open at $850 and climb through $1,550 and $1,900 to $4,000 across the four LLumar Platinum packages. Those are floors: the Sorento’s quote depends on its panels, how many sensor openings the bumper has, and whether the paint needs correcting first.
| Package | What it covers | From |
|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | Full bumper, leading section of hood and fenders, headlights, mirrors | $850 |
| Full Front | Full hood and fenders, bumper, headlights, mirrors | $1,550 |
| Track Package | Full Front, A-pillars, partial roof, rocker panels | $1,900 |
| Full Vehicle | Every painted surface and the headlights | $4,000 |
The film is LLumar’s self-healing Platinum, its patterns come from software templates, and edges are wrapped wherever the panel shape allows; where a relief cut can’t be avoided on a bumper, the shop shows you first. LLumar backs Platinum for 10 years, with yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling named in the shop’s published terms. Partial Front PPF explains the entry package in detail.
What is built into the Sorento’s front bumper?
Radar and sonar, plus cameras on the SX. The detecting-sensor diagram in Kia’s 2026 Sorento manual places these at the front, some marked “if equipped”:
- a front radar for collision avoidance and smart cruise
- front corner radars
- front ultrasonic sensors, plus front side ultrasonic sensors where fitted
- a wide-front view camera for the surround-view monitor
Kia Canada’s 2026 Sorento Hybrid sheet lists front and rear parking distance warning on the LX and EX, and forward, side and reverse warning with a surround-view monitor on the SX. Kia’s collision-avoidance section is direct about film: it says a licence plate frame, bumper sticker, film or bumper guard shouldn’t go near the front radar cover. Ask the shop where the film will end around each sensor.
Which parts of a Sorento does the film cover?
The painted panels and the headlights. Kia lists the front and rear skid plates as moulded-in-colour plastic rather than painted parts, and the lower trim, chrome-coated door garnish and the SX’s gloss black grille are separate pieces again. If you want any of those covered, say so and they’re quoted for your Sorento.
Headlights vary by trim. The LX uses LED multi-reflector lamps, while the EX and SX get LED four-cube projector headlights; both lens types are covered in every front package. Every 2026 Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid trim measures 4,815 mm long and 1,900 mm wide, so the patterns don’t change with the powertrain.
How much road grit does a Sorento meet around Langley?
A lot through the winter. The City of Langley says it puts brine on priority routes and spreads salt or a salt and sand mix on its roads, per its snow and ice control page, and that mix is thrown at the bumper and hood of whatever follows a truck.
Film takes the sand strikes, and the paint underneath stays sealed from salt where the film covers it. Does PPF protect against road salt explains the limits. If the Sorento does daily freeway kilometres, PPF for Highway 1 commuters helps you choose between Partial and Full Front.
How do you book Sorento PPF in Langley?
Send the model year, trim, powertrain and colour, Aurora Black Pearl to Volcanic Sand Brown, and the package you want. The paint is checked, the price set for your bumper and the time booked; a day is typical for Partial Front, with Full Front or Track taking one to two and Full Vehicle three to five. Use the Sorento PPF quote form, and see Sorento window tint if the glass is on the list too.
