What does ceramic coating cost on a Hyundai Ioniq 5?
The shop doesn’t post coating prices. Every Ioniq 5 is quoted after a look at the paint, because any correction it needs is part of the price. The three packages differ in layers, prep and how much of the car they reach.

Which Ioniq 5 colours need the most prep?
The darker ones. Hyundai Canada lists five colours for the 2027 Ioniq 5: Atlas White, Cyber Grey, Abyss Black, Ecotronic Grey and Lucid Blue. A coating seals in whatever the paint looks like when it goes on, so swirls from earlier washes end up sealed under it.
- Abyss Black and Lucid Blue: fine scratches show readily in deep colours, so the two-stage correction in the Performance package is the one to ask about.
- Cyber Grey and Ecotronic Grey: greys hide light marring better than black does, but correction still sharpens the reflection before the coating fixes it in place.
- Atlas White: the payoff is mostly easier washing, since swirls are hard to see on white.

Does the coating cover the Ultimate’s silver and gloss-black trim?
Only the Signature package includes trim. That matters more on the Ultimate than on the other trims. Hyundai Canada’s 2027 spec sheet gives the Ultimate a different set of exterior pieces from the Preferred and Trend.

Trim collects the same road film and water spots as the paint, so on an Ultimate name those parts when you ask for a quote. On the Preferred and Trend, the Performance package already reaches the paint, the glass and the wheel faces.
Can the wheels and the Vision roof be coated?
Yes, with the right package or an add-on. Every 2027 Ioniq 5 rolls on 19-inch aero alloy wheels, which Hyundai describes as aerodynamically optimized. Wheel faces are part of Performance and whole wheels part of Signature; a dedicated wheel and caliper coating is sold separately, as the wheel coating page explains.
The Trend and Ultimate carry Hyundai’s fixed “Vision” panoramic glass roof. Glass is included in Performance and Signature, and glass coating is also sold as an add-on, so ask whether the roof is part of the glass in your quote. Coated glass beads water, so rain runs off the roof rather than drying on it.
When should an Ioniq 5 be coated, and how do you book it?
