What does window tint cost on a Hyundai Ioniq 5?

What glass does Hyundai fit to the Ioniq 5?
All three 2027 trims share the same core glass, and the roof and windshield extras depend on trim. Hyundai Canada’s 2027 spec sheet lists the following.

The same sheet lists “laminated glass (front/rear)” on all three trims. Film goes on the cabin side of the pane, so laminated glass takes it the same way tempered glass does, as the answer on acoustic laminated side glass explains. Hyundai’s 2026 Ioniq 5 page also lists manual sunshades for the rear doors as available equipment. Film works with them, not instead of them: the shade blocks the view when it’s up, the film cuts heat and UV whether it’s up or down.
Which film suits Ioniq 5 privacy glass?
Start from how dark you want the finished window, then choose the film. Film and factory glass multiply: a 20% film over 20% privacy glass lets through roughly 4% of visible light. Hyundai publishes no light-transmission figure for the Ioniq 5’s privacy glass, so look at the car in daylight before you choose a shade.
- Keep the factory look, cut the heat: LLumar AIR 80 is near-clear (77% visible light on LLumar’s sheet) and rejects 60% of infrared energy (IRER).
- Go darker with the most heat rejection: IRX, sold in 5, 15, 35 and 50%, turns away between 50 and 62% of total solar energy (TSER).

Can the Ioniq 5’s Vision roof be tinted?
Yes, on the 2027 Trend and Ultimate, which carry the fixed panoramic glass roof. Roof film is quoted per vehicle because roof glass varies in size and curve, and Hyundai already pairs this one with a sunshade. What can be tinted on an Ioniq 5 in BC?
Glass behind the driver may be as dark as you like, and that includes the hatch, since the Ioniq 5 carries an outside mirror on each side. That’s MVAR s. 7.05(8). The front door glass already leaves the factory as solar glass, and the regulation allows no aftermarket film on it at all, clear film included. The windshield may only carry film in the top 75 mm.
