How is ceramic coating priced for a Kia EV9?
Per car, after the paint has been looked at. The shop publishes no coating prices, and on an EV9 the size of the body and the amount of correction it needs both feed into the quote.
| Package | What it is | Coated surfaces |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | One graphene-ceramic layer | Paint |
| Performance | Two layers over a two-stage correction | Paint, wheel faces, glass |
| Signature | Four layers over full correction | Paint, PPF, wheels, glass, trim |
An EV9 is booked in for one to three days. A paint gauge reading comes before any correction, and extras such as glass coating, wheels and calipers, or interior protection can be added. The ceramic coating page sets out the system the shop uses.
Should the EV9’s windshield be coated?
Not on the GT-Line or GT. Both carry Kia’s head-up display, and the EV9 manual’s head-up display section is plain about it: “Do not add tint or other coating to the windshield. The Head-up display image may be obscured.”
Performance and Signature both include glass, so on those two trims ask for the windshield to be left out and the rest of the glass coated. On a Light, Wind or Land without the display, the manual’s warning doesn’t apply, though the manual’s collision-avoidance section still asks owners to keep accessories and stickers off the windshield, where the front camera looks through. The glass coating page explains what a glass coating does.
Which EV9 colours and trim pieces does the coating reach?
Every painted panel, and on the Signature package the exterior trim too. Kia Canada lists eight 2026 colours, and which ones you can order depends on the trim.
| 2026 EV9 | Colours |
|---|---|
| Light, Wind | Snow White Pearl, Panthera Metal, Aurora Black Pearl |
| Land, Land Plus | Those three plus Ivory Silver, Flare Red, Pebble Grey |
| Land Premium, GT-Line | All of the above plus Ocean Blue and Iceberg Green |
| GT | The Land six plus Ocean Blue |
The trim varies by version as well. Kia lists gloss-black upper window trim and A, B and C pillars on every EV9, silver paint on the front and rear skid plates, and a satin chrome lower beltline on all but the GT-Line and GT. From the Land Plus up, the bumper and door garnish are black. The gloss-black pillars sit at eye level, so marring on them is easy to spot.
How does Kia want EV9 paint looked after?
Washed often and gently. Kia’s exterior care section wants the car washed thoroughly, monthly at the least, using cold or lukewarm water and never in direct sun, and warns that wiping off dust with a dry cloth will scratch the finish. It also says bird droppings can damage painted surfaces “in just a few hours”.
A coating doesn’t change that routine. It makes it easier, because grime lets go with less rubbing and droppings rinse away before they etch, provided you get to them promptly. One warning in the manual is outside what any coating can help with. Kia notes that sunlight reflected off stainless signboards or mirrored buildings can damage plastic exterior trim such as the bumper, spoiler and mirrors, and the remedy it gives is to park elsewhere or use a cover. The answer on washing a coated car covers the method step by step.
How do you book a coating for an EV9 in Langley?
Tell the shop the trim, package and colour, and whether PPF is on the car already or planned; any film is installed first, then Signature coats over it. Keep the EV9 out of the wet for a day after collecting it. A paint inspection can be arranged on the EV9 coating quote form, or text 604 534 6433.
