What does PPF cost on a Kia EV9?
On an EV9, panel size pushes quotes above the $850, $1,550, $1,900 and $4,000 starting points of the four LLumar Platinum packages. Kia Canada gives the 2026 EV9 a length of 5,010 mm and a width of 1,980 mm, so the hood, fenders and bumper are big pieces of film.
| Package | Panels | From |
|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | Full bumper, partial hood and fenders, headlights, side mirrors | $850 |
| Full Front | Full hood, full fenders, full bumper, headlights, side mirrors | $1,550 |
| Track Package | Full Front plus partial roof, A-pillars, rocker panels | $1,900 |
| Full Vehicle | Every painted surface, headlights | $4,000 |
Every package uses LLumar Platinum, gloss or matte, which heals fine scratches when warmed. On an EV9 the templates come from software and the film wraps panel edges where the shape permits. LLumar gives it a 10-year limited warranty; yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling are the faults Brookswood Tint names in its published terms.
Where are the EV9’s sensors, and what does Kia say about film?
Kia’s manual names four kinds of sensor behind its collision-avoidance system: a front camera, a front radar, front corner radars and rear corner radars. It is direct about what may sit near them.
Kia’s wording: “Do not arbitrarily attach objects (accessories, moldings, stickers, films, packaging materials, etc.) to the detection sensor or its surroundings, or paint the bumper.” The same section lists film, along with a licence plate frame, a bumper sticker and a bumper guard, among the things to keep away from the front radar cover, and warns the system may misbehave if paint has been applied around the corner radars.
That’s from the EV9 owner’s manual, and it means the radar cover and the corner radar zones are places to keep film off. Before any film goes on, ask to be shown where it ends. Bumpers sometimes need a relief cut, and you’ll see its position before the work starts. Higher trims carry more hardware: Kia Canada adds side parking sensors on the Land Premium, GT-Line and GT, and front and side parking collision-avoidance on the GT-Line and GT.
Which EV9 surfaces take the most stones?
The ones that face forward: the bumper, the leading edge of the hood, the front of the fenders, the headlights and the mirror caps, which is why every package starts there. On the EV9 those surfaces include a few trim-specific pieces.
- Silver-painted skid plates and bumper garnish, front and rear, on every 2026 trim.
- Digital Lighting Grille, in a base pattern on the Land Plus and Premium packages and a GT-Line pattern on the GT-Line.
- Headlights: LED projection lamps on the Light, Wind and Land, and Small Cube LED lamps from the Land Plus up.
Kia’s exterior care section treats a stone chip as a repair to make quickly, warning that bare metal soon rusts. With film over the paint, the stone hits the film instead. The answer on whether PPF stops rock chips explains what the film can and can’t absorb.
Is Full Vehicle film worth it on a three-row EV?
It depends how long you’ll keep it and what colour it is. Track builds on Full Front with the windshield pillars, a roof strip and the rocker panels, the last of which sit in the path of grit thrown back by the front tires. Full Vehicle covers every painted panel, including the long rear doors and the liftgate, which suits an EV9 you plan to keep for years. Colour can tip the decision too, particularly on the shades Kia Canada keeps for the upper packages: Ocean Blue on the Land Premium, GT-Line and GT, and Iceberg Green on the Land Premium and GT-Line. The full body PPF page covers that package in detail.
How should a filmed EV9 be washed?
Gently, and with the sensors in mind. Leave the new film unwashed for a week, then stick to hand washing or touchless bays, never brushes. Kia’s own care section says not to spray the camera, sensors or the area around them directly with a high-pressure washer, and the shop’s advice is the same for film edges: keep the nozzle back. To get a number, message the trim, package and paint colour to 604 534 6433, or use the EV9 paint protection quote form.
