How much does it cost to tint a Kia EV9?
The EV9 is priced on the shop’s full-size SUV package: $260 in LLumar ATC for the second-row doors, the windows beside the third row and cargo area, and the hatch. Ceramic, in IRX or AIR, is priced separately for those same windows.
| EV9 glass | Film | From |
|---|---|---|
| Rear doors, third-row and cargo windows, hatch | LLumar ATC dyed | $260 |
| The same windows in ceramic | LLumar IRX or AIR | Quoted per package |
| Front doors | Any | $140, not road-legal in BC |
| Full windshield | Any | $200, only the top 75 mm is legal |
| Dual sunroof | Any | Quoted per vehicle |
At 5,010 mm long the EV9 is a big vehicle, and complex rear glass is one of the things that can stretch a tint job. You get genuine LLumar film, patterns plotted for the EV9 and a lifetime warranty that covers labour too. The window tint price sheet shows every package side by side.
Which EV9 trims have privacy, laminated or acoustic glass?
Kia Canada lists the glass by trim and package, and the upper Land packages and the GT add laminated door glass. This table comes from the 2026 EV9 features list.
| 2026 EV9 | Light, Wind, Land | Land Plus | Land Premium, GT-Line | GT |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Acoustic laminated windshield | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Solar glass, windshield and front doors | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Privacy glass, rear doors and cargo area | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Laminated front and rear door glass | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Dual sunroof | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Head-up display | No | No | GT-Line only | Yes |
Film goes on the inside face of laminated door glass the same way it goes on tempered glass. Kia gives no light-transmission figure for the privacy glass, so remember that film and glass multiply: 20% film on 20% glass leaves about 4% of the light. See the darkness for yourself before picking a shade.
What does Kia say about tinting the EV9’s windshield?
Kia says not to. The EV9 manual’s section on Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist lists a front camera among the system’s sensors and tells owners not to tint the windshield or put accessories or stickers on it. On the GT-Line and GT, the head-up display section gives a second reason: tint or any other coating on the windshield can obscure the projected image.
BC rules already confine windshield film to the top 75 mm of the glass. A full windshield is a request-only job that comes with an explanation of the legal risk, and on an EV9 Kia’s warning adds a second reason to pause. For how these camera warnings compare across makers, read tinting a windshield with an ADAS camera.
Can the EV9’s dual sunroof be tinted?
Yes, and it’s quoted per vehicle. On the Land Plus package and above, Kia’s manual describes a dual wide sunroof: the front section tilts and slides under a sunshade you open by hand, and the rear one has a power sunshade. Whenever the shades are slid back, film on that glass trims the sun’s heat and glare. How film is priced and fitted on glass roofs is set out on the sunroof tint page.
Which EV9 windows can legally take film in BC?
Every pane from the second row back, at whatever shade you choose: rear doors, third-row and cargo windows, and the hatch, the last one permitted because the EV9 has mirrors outside on both sides. The front doors can’t take film of any shade under MVAR s. 7.05(8), even on the packages where Kia makes them laminated. Penalties and inspection rules are in BC’s front-window tint answer.
How do you book EV9 tint at the Langley shop?
Tell the shop the trim and package, because they settle whether there’s a sunroof to quote and whether the doors are laminated. Most cars leave the same day after two to four hours; after that, the side windows shouldn’t be lowered for three to five days. For heat on an electric car, the EV window tint page compares ceramic and dyed film. Ask for a price through the EV9 tint quote form or by texting 604 534 6433.
