What bright trim does an Audi RS7 have?
Not much, and Audi removed the biggest piece itself. Its exterior design notes describe an RS7 Singleframe that is broader and flatter than the A7’s, “with no contrasting chrome border,” filled with a gloss black honeycomb and flanked by intakes with gloss black vertical wings.
| RS7 trim | From the factory | Chrome delete option |
|---|---|---|
| Four rings, front and rear | Chrome unless gloss black or no rings were ordered | Wrap in gloss or satin black |
| RS 7 badges | As the rings | Wrap in black with the rings |
| Window slot trims, flaps, blades, sill inlays, diffuser clip | Matte aluminium, gloss black or carbon, by styling package | Wrap the matte aluminium pieces black |
| Mirror housings | Gloss black as standard; matte aluminium or body colour optional | Wrap if yours aren’t black |
| Oval tailpipes | “Chrome-colored,” one each side | Not covered; they’re part of the exhaust |
The white RS7 photographed outside the shop shows the pattern: a black grille and black mirror caps, with the rings still bright silver.
Which of the shop’s chrome delete levels fits an RS7?
Usually the front-and-rear level. The shop sells three levels, each taking in the one before.
Window trim
The trim along the side glass. On an RS7 that’s the window slot trims, and they only need wrapping if your styling package made them matte aluminium.
Front and rear
The rings and RS 7 badges front and rear, plus any bright bumper trim. Badges come off where they can so the vinyl wraps all the way around; badge blackouts explain how. Exhaust tips are covered only where they’re chrome-plated plastic, so the RS7’s oval tailpipes stay as they are.
Full blackout
Everything above, plus door handles, mirror caps and any brightwork left over. On an RS7 with matte aluminium mirror housings and blades, this is the level that turns them black.
What did Audi offer instead of chrome at the factory?
Black badges, or no badges. Audi says the rings and RS logos front and rear could be ordered in gloss black with the black and carbon styling packages, or “omitted entirely” for a cleaner look. On the RS7 performance, its performance release gives a choice of chrome or black rings and badges, with matte grey side-window trim as standard and black trim in the matte carbon/black package.
Those choices were fixed when the car was built. Vinyl gets a similar look on an RS7 that left the factory with chrome, and it can be taken off before a sale or lease return. Vinyl, paint or Plasti Dip for chrome delete compares the ways to do it.
Should RS7 trim go gloss or satin black?
Match what Audi already made black. The RS7’s grille, intake wings and rear diffuser are gloss black, so gloss vinyl usually sits closest to them. On an RS7 performance, with its matte grey trim, satin can be the better match. The shop holds both samples against the car before you decide.
How do you book an RS7 chrome delete in Langley?
Send close photos of the rings and badges front and rear, the window slot trims, the mirrors and the styling-package parts, with the year and whether it’s the RS7 or RS7 performance. The quote lists each piece covered.
On the warranty side, the shop’s published terms give the vinyl five years. After a week, touchless washes are fine; keep pressure washers off the edges. Use the RS7 chrome delete quote form or call 604 534 6433, and see Audi RS7 window tint to book the glass in the same visit.
