Where is the bright trim on a 2026 Tahoe?
It moves around by trim, so start with yours. Chevrolet Canada’s 2026 Tahoe comparison lists these exterior finishes as standard:

Options add more. The Chrome Package brings chrome mirror caps to the LS, LT and High Country, chrome assist steps are offered on the Premier and High Country, and a bright rear bumper protector can be ordered on any trim. From the RST up, the dual exhaust ends in twin polished stainless-steel tips. Chevrolet Canada’s Tahoe page calls the High Country’s grille a “unique High Country signature grille” without naming its finish, and describes the RST’s as a “Monochromatic Black grille with Black Ice accents”, the factory version of a blacked-out front.
What do Chevrolet’s dark packages already change?
Some of it, if they were ordered with the Tahoe. The comparison describes four, each tied to particular trims:
- Dark Essentials (LS, LT): black bowtie emblems, black nameplates, black mirror caps.
- Dark Essentials Plus (LS, LT, Premier): 22-inch multi-spoke Gloss Black wheels, black nameplates and mirror caps, black grille and bowtie.
- Premium Dark Essentials (Premier, High Country): black nameplates and mirror caps, plus black wheels and a black grille or illuminated black bowtie depending on trim.
- RST Dark Essentials: 24-inch black wheels, black nameplates, black mirror caps.
None of those lists mentions the door handles, roof rails or assist-step strips. A Premier with Dark Essentials Plus still has chrome handles, for example, and vinyl is how you match them to the rest after the fact.
Which Tahoe pieces can be wrapped in vinyl?
Any bright piece you choose, each covered in black cast vinyl over the existing finish. The pieces worth checking on a Tahoe:
- Emblems and nameplates: the bowties front and rear and the Tahoe and trim badges. Chevrolet’s black bowtie option replaces the “Gold bowtie emblems”, so the standard ones are gold rather than chrome.
- Grille: the High Country’s signature grille, or any bright grille trim on another build; the grille chrome delete page explains how grilles are quoted.
- Door handles and mirror caps: the Premier’s and High Country’s chrome handles, and chrome mirror caps on the Premier or from the Chrome Package.
- Roof rails and step strips: the bright side rails and the chrome accent strip along each assist step.
Every 2026 Tahoe has Adaptive Cruise Control, which depends on sensing at the front of the SUV. Raise it when you list grille pieces: the vinyl belongs on trim, never across a sensor’s face.
Gloss or satin black for a Tahoe?
Pick the finish that matches the black already on the SUV. Chevrolet uses gloss itself: a gloss black strip on the RST’s assist steps, Gloss Black 22-inch wheels in Dark Essentials Plus, and, on the 2027 Tahoe page, 24-inch bright machined and painted high-gloss Black wheels for the High Country.
Satin is the quieter choice and sits better beside matte or satin wheels. Ask to see both samples against your own trim before anything is cut.
How is a Tahoe chrome delete priced?
There’s no posted price, because the pieces vary so much by trim. Send the year, trim, colour and photos of the front, side and rear through the chrome delete quote form, say gloss or satin, and list what you want black. Text 604 534 6433 works too.
Both 3M and Avery Dennison cast films are used, and the shop’s published term for the vinyl is a 5-year manufacturer warranty. If you might want the chrome back before you sell or return a lease, read whether a chrome delete can be reversed before you book.
