Why does a Tahoe price above the starting figures?
Because the packages start from car-sized panels and a Tahoe is anything but. Chevrolet Canada gives the 2026 model as 5,367 mm long, 2,377 mm wide including the mirrors and 1,925 to 1,948 mm tall, so its hood and fenders carry far more surface than a sedan’s.
| Package | From | Standard coverage | What it means on a Tahoe |
|---|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | $850 | Full bumper, partial hood and fenders, headlights, mirrors | The tall front fascia, the front of the hood, the LED headlamps and both mirror caps |
| Full Front | $1,550 | Full hood, fenders and bumper, headlights, mirrors | The entire hood and both long front fenders |
| Track Package | $1,900 | Full Front plus partial roof, A-pillars, rockers | Adds the rockers behind the assist steps and the windshield pillars |
| Full Vehicle | $4,000 | All painted surfaces, headlights | Four doors, rear quarters, liftgate and roof as well |
Each package uses LLumar Platinum, a self-healing film in gloss or matte. LLumar’s limited warranty runs 10 years, and the shop’s published terms name yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling. The floor price is where the quote starts, not where a Tahoe ends.
How does each Tahoe trim dress its front end?
Differently enough to change the pattern. Chevrolet Canada’s 2026 Tahoe comparison and its Tahoe model page separate the trims like this:
| Trim | Front-end detail Chevrolet lists |
|---|---|
| LS, LT | Standard front fascia |
| RST | Monochromatic Black grille with Black Ice accents |
| Z71 | Front fascia with high-approach angle, front and rear skid plates, red recovery hooks |
| Premier | Standard fascia with LED headlamps that use animated lighting |
| High Country | Unique signature grille |
LED fog lamps are standard on the RST, Z71, Premier and High Country. Upper active aero shutters in the front fascia come on every trim, and upper and lower shutters are available on the LT, RST, Premier and High Country. They close at speed and reopen for cooling, so the film is cut around their openings. Give the trim and any packages, and the template matches the front end you actually have.
Where does a tall, flat-nosed SUV collect chips?
On the bumper, the hood and the rocker panels, which are the areas LLumar’s own PPF FAQ names as taking the most punishment. A Tahoe presents a big, upright face to the road, so the fascia and the leading edge of the hood meet most of what the traffic ahead throws back.
The rockers sit behind assist steps that Chevrolet says run from wheel well to wheel well on most trims, and the Track Package is the package that adds them. The province lists Highway 1 from 216th Street to Mt. Lehman Road as under construction for widening; if that’s your daily drive, what PPF Highway 1 commuters need compares the coverage options.
Which cameras and sensors does the film have to clear?
Plenty, on every trim. The 2026 comparison lists HD Surround Vision, Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control as standard on all Tahoes, and the Chevrolet Canada page offers up to 14 camera views. Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist can steer, brake and shift to park the SUV, so the sensing around the bumpers matters.
Tell the shop your trim and options when you ask, so the template accounts for every lens and sensor on your Tahoe’s bumpers and mirrors.
How do you get a Tahoe PPF quote?
For a price, give the shop your Tahoe’s year, trim and colour, any accessory parts, the package you’re weighing and gloss or matte. The PPF quote form takes it all, or text the same to 604 534 6433. The shop checks the paint first: it’s decontaminated, its thickness measured, and any correction done before the film goes on.
Partial Front normally needs a day; Full Front or Track, a day or two; Full Vehicle, three to five days. Coverage details for the most common choice are on the Full Front PPF page.
