Chevrolet Tahoe Window Tint in Langley, BC

At a glance

Tinting a Chevrolet Tahoe starts at $260 in LLumar ATC for every window behind the front seats, liftgate glass included, priced as the shop's full-size SUV package; ceramic IRX or AIR costs more and is priced per package. Chevrolet Canada fits deep-tinted rear glass to every 2026 Tahoe, so film darkens glass that is already tinted. Front doors ($160) and a full windshield ($200) are fitted only on request and aren't road-legal in BC.

What does $260 buy on a Tahoe?

All the glass behind the front doors in LLumar ATC: both rear doors, the long side windows beside the third row and the liftgate glass. It’s priced as the shop’s full-size SUV package, the one set out for big three-row bodies with a liftgate.

Tahoe glass What’s included From
Rear package Rear door glass, third-row side glass, liftgate glass $260
IRX or AIR ceramic The same rear glass Quoted per package
Panoramic power sunroof LT, RST, Z71, Premier, High Country Quoted per vehicle
Front door windows Driver and front passenger $160, not road-legal in BC
Windshield, filmed from the inside The whole glass $200, road-legal only in the top 75 mm

The film is plotter-cut from the Tahoe’s own pattern, then heat-shrunk by hand to fit the curve of each pane, and LLumar’s lifetime film warranty sits alongside the shop’s lifetime warranty on the work. Ask for the combined figure if you want the roof as well, since a bundle normally comes in under the list prices added up.

How dark is a Tahoe’s glass before tint?

Darker than a car’s, from the factory. Chevrolet Canada’s 2026 Tahoe comparison lists deep-tinted glass as standard on the LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier and High Country, and Chevrolet places that tint on the rear side glass and the liftgate window.

No percentage is published for it. Film works as a multiplier on top of that glass, so 20% film on 20% glass comes out near 4%, far darker than either alone. If you like the factory shade and only want the heat gone, LLumar AIR keeps it close to how it looks now. If you want it darker, look at a sample against your own glass in daylight before you pick. Window tint versus factory privacy glass explains what each one does.

What’s different about the Tahoe windshield?

It carries a shade band, solar-absorbing glass and, on many trims, a head-up display. The 2026 comparison lists the windshield shade band and solar-absorbing windshield as standard on every Tahoe. The multi-colour 15-inch head-up display is available on the LT, RST, Z71 and Premier and standard on the High Country, and Chevrolet says it projects onto the windshield “low in the driver’s line of sight”.

BC allows film only in the top 75 mm of a windshield, the edge where the shade band already sits and well away from that low projection. Item 12e of the inspection manual fails anything lower. If you’re considering a full windshield anyway, which isn’t road-legal, mention the head-up display at the quote; whether windshield tint is legal in BC lays out the rule.

Should the Tahoe’s panoramic sunroof get film?

It can, on its own quote, and it’s the one glass area the LS doesn’t have. Chevrolet describes dual-panel glass that opens over the first and second rows, tilts for ventilation and retracts into the roof, with a power sunshade underneath.

Whether it’s worth filming comes down to how often you leave that shade open on sunny days. Roof glass is measured from your Tahoe and priced separately, as set out on the sunroof and panoramic roof tint page.

Which Tahoe windows can be tinted legally in BC?

Every one behind the front doors, at any darkness: rear doors, third-row glass and the liftgate window. Under MVAR s. 7.05(8), any glass beside or behind the rear seats can be filmed, and so can the back window as long as there’s a mirror outside on each side, which every Tahoe trim has.

The front doors are another matter. Chevrolet fits acoustic laminated glass as standard on every 2026 Tahoe without saying which panes get it, and whichever they are, film on the driver’s and front passenger’s windows is outside the rule and fails inspection item 13d. The shop explains the consequences before anyone decides: a ticket the Mission RCMP puts at typically $109, or an order to remove it and pass an inspection. The rules for that front glass are set out in tinting front windows in BC.

Booking a Tahoe tint appointment

Send the year and trim, say whether the roof is glass, and name the film you’re considering. The trim matters more on a Tahoe than you might expect: Chevrolet Canada’s Tahoe page lists 8 seats as standard, 9 only on the LS and 7 as standard on the Premier and High Country. None of that moves the rear package price; the roof and the film choice do.

Most Tahoes are finished in two to four hours and go home the same day. Don’t lower the tinted windows for three to five days; any light haze clears by itself within a week. Request a price on the Tahoe tint quote form, or send the same details by text to 604 534 6433.

Questions about tahoe window tint

01Is a Tahoe LS tinted the same way as a High Country?

The rear package covers the same glass on every trim, from the rear doors back. The difference is overhead: the LS can't be ordered with the panoramic sunroof, while the LT through High Country can, and roof glass is quoted on its own.

02Can the Tahoe's rear windows go darker than the factory tint?

Yes. BC sets no darkness limit on side windows behind the driver, and the liftgate glass counts because the Tahoe has outside mirrors on both sides. Film over deep-tinted glass finishes darker than the number on the film.

03Does film on the liftgate glass stop the rear wiper or defroster working?

No. Every 2026 Tahoe has a rear intermittent wiper, which runs on the outside of the glass; the film sits inside, over the defroster lines. Old film on that window is steamed off, not scraped, so the grid survives a re-tint.

04How long is a Tahoe in the shop for tint?

Most full-size SUVs are done the same day, in roughly two to four hours. Stripping old film first adds time.
