Audi Q8 PPF in Langley, BC

At a glance

Paint protection film on an Audi Q8 starts at $850 for a Partial Front in LLumar Platinum, $1,550 for a Full Front, $1,900 for the Track Package and $4,000 for the whole SUV. Those are floors: Audi's dimension sheet puts the Q8 at 4,992 mm long and 1,995 mm wide, so it can be quoted higher. The 2023 update also reshaped the front apron and intakes, so the template depends on your year and version.

What does PPF cost on an Audi Q8?

Every LLumar Platinum package has a published starting price, and a Q8 is quoted from there. Audi’s dimension sheet gives the car 4,992 mm of length and 1,995 mm of body width, so its hood and fenders take bigger sheets than the 911 the shop’s diagrams are drawn on.

Package From Panels on a Q8 In the shop
Partial Front $850 Full bumper, leading part of the hood and fenders, headlights, mirrors Usually 1 day
Full Front $1,550 Whole hood, whole front fenders, bumper, headlights, mirrors 1–2 days
Track Package $1,900 Full Front plus A-pillars, part of the roof and the rocker panels 1–2 days
Full Vehicle $4,000 Every painted surface and the headlights 3–5 days

Platinum’s top coat self-heals light marks with warmth, the film is cut from software templates, and its edges are wrapped behind panels where the shape allows. LLumar backs Platinum Gloss with a 10-year limited warranty, and the shop’s published terms name yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling. Weighing the first two rows? Partial versus full front PPF puts them side by side.

Where does a Q8 pick up stone chips?

Across the nose first. The same sheet shows 985 mm of car ahead of the front axle: the bumper, the Singleframe surround and the lower intakes, all facing whatever the traffic ahead flicks back. The hood’s leading edge and the mirror faces come next.

BC roads add their own grit. TranBC caps winter abrasive on main highways at 9.5 mm and says that going from 80 to 110 km/h “will almost double the impact energy.” On a Q8 that lives on Highway 1, the lower doors and sills also catch grit thrown off the front tires, which is the area the Track Package adds.

How did the 2023 update change the Q8’s front end?

Audi gave the Q8 new front and rear aprons, a Singleframe with vertical inlays and more prominent air intakes, according to its upgraded Q8 release. Templates follow those shapes, so a 2022 and a 2024 Q8 aren’t cut the same way.

Updated Q8 What Audi describes at the front For the film
Base Front bumper area, door trim and diffuser in contrasting colours Film covers the body-colour areas; the contrast parts are settled at the quote
S line exterior Clearly accentuated side air intakes More edges for the template to finish around
SQ8 Redesigned front spoiler, honeycomb grilles in the intakes, aluminium-look mirror housings The mirror housings aren’t paint, so choose whether to cover them

The same update added three metallic finishes from Audi Sport: Sakhir Gold, Ascari Blue and Chili Red. Gloss Platinum leaves a metallic looking the way it left the factory, while Platinum Matte turns it satin if that’s the look you want.

Do the Q8’s headlights and sensors change the film?

The headlights are part of every package, and the sensors are planned around. The updated Q8 offers HD Matrix LED headlights with a laser high beam that switches on from 70 km/h, and their lenses are covered in all four packages.

Sensors sit at both ends of the car. Audi’s Q8 TFSI e release describes adaptive cruise assist “with radar cruise control,” and the optional digital OLED rear lights light up all their segments when another vehicle comes within two metres of the parked Q8, triggered through the assistance systems. Ask how the template handles the sensors on your version before anything is cut.

How do you book PPF for a Q8 in Langley?

Send the year, the version (base, S line, SQ8 or RS Q8), the colour and the package you have in mind. The quote names the package and anything priced on top.

The paint is decontaminated first and corrected where it needs it, because film seals in whatever is underneath. Leave the first wash for a week, then stick to hand or touchless washing with pressure nozzles kept off the film edges, and no brush washes. Request a figure through the Q8 PPF quote form or on 604 534 6433. The glass and the bright trim can share the booking: see Audi Q8 window tint and the Q8 chrome delete.

Questions about audi Q8 PPF

01How far above the starting price does a Q8 usually go?

There's no fixed uplift. The final figure depends on the panels in the package, how complex your version's bumper is and the state of the paint, so the shop quotes the Q8 itself.

02Can PPF give a gloss Q8 a satin look?

Yes. LLumar Platinum Matte turns gloss paint satin while still protecting it, and it's priced on the same packages as the gloss film.

03Which package suits a Q8 that commutes on Highway 1?

The Track Package, since it adds the rocker panels and A-pillars to everything in the Full Front. For a Q8 that stays mostly in town, the Full Front covers the panels that face forward.
