What does PPF cost on a Chevrolet Colorado?

Four LLumar Platinum packages apply, priced as starting points between $850 and $4,000. Where your truck lands depends on trim, accessories and the paint’s condition.

Package Colorado panels covered From
Partial Front Whole front bumper, leading part of the hood and fenders, headlights, mirrors $850
Full Front The entire hood and front fenders, bumper, headlights, mirrors $1,550
Track Package Full Front plus A-pillars, the front of the roof and the rockers $1,900
Full Vehicle Every painted panel, cab and box, plus headlights $4,000

Platinum heals light swirls with heat, and the patterns are cut by software, with edges tucked round panels wherever they’ll go. On a bumper where a relief cut can’t be avoided, you see the spot beforehand. LLumar warrants Platinum Gloss for 10 years under its limited warranty; the shop’s published terms single out yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling.

How do the Colorado’s five trims change the front-end job?

Mostly through the mirrors, flares and rocker protection. Chevrolet Canada’s 2026 Colorado trim comparison shows every trim as a Crew Cab with a short box, with these differences outside:

2026 Colorado Mirror caps Wheel flares Rocker protection
WT Moulded-in black Not listed Not listed
LT Painted Not listed Not listed
Trail Boss Painted black Standard Rocker panel protector available
Z71 Painted black Not listed Rocker panel protector available
ZR2 Painted black Standard Black off-road rocker protectors, standard

Every trim also has automatic radiator grille shutters, and the film stops at the grille openings rather than crossing them. The parking sensors Chevrolet lists are rear ones, Rear Park Assist on every trim, so the rear bumper is where sensor cut-outs come in, and only Full Vehicle reaches it. On the ZR2, Chevrolet offers an AEV stamped-steel high-approach front bumper; if yours has one, it replaces the factory fascia, and the front package is planned around it.

Do the Trail Boss and ZR2 need different coverage from an LT?

Often, yes. Chevrolet Canada gives the Trail Boss a 2-inch factory lift and the ZR2 a 3-inch lift with high-performance suspension, and both get wheel flares as standard. The Trail Boss rides on 32-inch all-terrain tires and the ZR2 on 33-inch mud-terrain tires, and the lower doors and rockers sit right behind them.

On an LT or Z71 without the optional rocker protectors, those painted rockers are exposed, which is what the Track Package adds over Full Front. A ZR2’s rockers already wear black protectors from the factory, so a Full Front with flares and lower doors discussed at the quote is usually the better fit. The ZR2 Bison, built with AEV, adds five boron steel skid plates underneath; those are armour, not paint, and don’t need film.

Should decals and accessories go on before the film?

Ideally, yes, and the shop needs to know about them either way. Chevrolet’s trim comparison lists a Hood Decal Package, black nameplates, a Chrome Decal Package, Gloss Black “CHEVROLET” tailgate lettering and a 40-inch off-road roof light bar among the available extras, and the ZR2 carries a TurboMax hood emblem as standard.

Film is cut to fit around whatever is on a panel when it’s installed. A hood decal or nameplate added afterwards would sit on top of the film rather than the paint, and a light bar or bracket fitted later can leave a film edge in the wrong spot. If you plan any of these, fit them first or bring the parts to the appointment, and the pattern is adjusted around them. Winter salt is another reason to protect a working truck early; whether PPF guards against road salt explains what film does and doesn’t do there.

How do you book Colorado PPF in Langley?

Send the year, trim, colour, any lift or bumper changes, decals or accessories you have or plan, and the package you’re considering. Pick gloss, or Platinum Matte for a satin finish over gloss paint.

Expect one day in the shop for Partial Front and three to five when the whole truck is covered; Full Front and Track fall in between, at one or two days. Before any film goes on, the paint is cleaned of contamination and corrected if it needs it. Hold the first wash for seven days; after that, hand or touchless washing is fine, with the pressure wand kept off film edges. Book through the Colorado PPF quote form or text 604 534 6433, and see Colorado window tint for the glass.

Questions about chevrolet Colorado PPF

01Does the Colorado's lift make a difference to PPF?

Lift doesn't change which panels are painted, but a Trail Boss or ZR2 runs larger off-road tires, and what they pick up lands on the rockers and lower doors. That makes rocker coverage worth discussing.

02Can PPF go over the Colorado's painted mirror caps?

Yes. Mirrors are in every package, and from the LT up Chevrolet paints the caps, black on the Trail Boss, Z71 and ZR2.

03Should I fit a light bar or nameplates before or after PPF?

Before, if you can. The film is cut around what's on the panel when it goes on, so adding badges or a roof light bar later can leave gaps or edges in the wrong place.

04Is matte PPF an option on a Colorado?

Yes. LLumar Platinum comes in gloss and matte; matte turns gloss paint satin, which can suit a blacked-out ZR2, while still protecting the paint.
