What does PPF cost on a Chevrolet Silverado 1500?
Every Silverado quote begins at one of four LLumar Platinum package prices, $850 through $4,000 before tax. Treat them as floors: a full-size Chevy truck carries far more hood, fender and rocker than a sedan, and the number grows with it.
| Package | From | On a Silverado |
|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | $850 | Bumper paint, hood and fender edges |
| Full Front | $1,550 | Entire hood, both fenders, bumper |
| Track Package | $1,900 | Full Front plus rockers and pillars |
| Full Vehicle | $4,000 | Cab, doors, box and tailgate too |
Every package includes the headlights and mirrors, and Track also takes in the front part of the roof. The film heals light swirls with heat, and you can have it in gloss or matte. LLumar puts a 10-year limited warranty behind it; the shop lists four covered defects: yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling. First, though, the Silverado’s paint is cleaned of bonded contamination and any defects are corrected, with paint thickness measured before polishing.
How do Silverado trims change the front-end job?
They change how much of the nose is painted and what shape it is. Chevrolet Canada’s 2026 lineup and the 2027 Silverado page describe these front ends:
| Trim | Front-end detail Chevrolet lists | Worth raising at the quote |
|---|---|---|
| RST, 2026 | Body-colour grille bar, bumpers, handles | More painted surface up front |
| Custom Trail Boss, 2026 | Raised hood with styled black insert | How the insert is finished |
| LT Trail Boss, 2026 | Raised black hood insert | The same question |
| ZR2, 2026 | Off-road cut bumper, 33.5-degree approach angle | A bumper shaped unlike the others |
| ZR2 Bison, 2026 | AEV Bison bumpers, body-colour grille bar | Accessory-style bumpers front and rear |
| LT/Z71, 2027 | Anderson Metallic bumpers | A bumper finish separate from the body |
| Trail Boss, 2027 | Off-road hood with enhanced power dome | A taller hood shape |
Give the trim, the year and any accessory parts, and the quote is built on the panels your Silverado really has.
Where does a lifted Silverado take the most hits?
Low down and up front. In its PPF FAQ, LLumar singles out the bumper, hood and rockers as the spots that “receive the most punishment”, and a lifted Silverado on mud-terrain tires puts its rockers right in the spray.
Chevrolet’s 2026 Custom Trail Boss, LT Trail Boss and ZR2 all sit on a 2-inch factory lift, and the ZR2 runs 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires, with 35-inch MT tires on the 2027 ZR2. Rockers only come into the coverage at the Track level, which also brings the A-pillars and the roof’s leading edge, so that’s where a Silverado that leaves the pavement usually starts. Pace adds to it: by TranBC’s figures, a truck at 110 km/h meets each stone with close to double the energy it would at 80. The limits of what film stops are set out in whether PPF stops rock chips.
What should you check on a Silverado before film goes on?
Three things: the paint, the cameras and sensors, and the finish you want. Each one changes the quote or the result.
- Paint condition. Swirls or scratches are polished out first rather than sealed under film, and any paint correction starts with a thickness reading.
- Cameras. Chevrolet lists up to 8 cameras and 14 views on the 2026 LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, ZR2 and High Country, and up to 11 cameras and 19 views on the 2027 truck. Say what your Silverado has, so the pattern matches the bumper.
- Finish. LLumar Platinum Matte turns gloss paint satin. On a front package that leaves the nose a different sheen from the doors and box.
How do you book PPF for a Silverado 1500?
List the model year, cab, bed length, trim, the package you want and gloss or matte on the PPF quote form; texting 604 534 6433 also works. Note any lift, flares or non-factory bumper.
A Silverado usually spends one day in the bay for Partial Front, up to two for Full Front or Track, and between three and five for Full Vehicle. Skip washing for the first week; after that, stick to hand washing or touchless bays and hold the pressure wand well back from film edges. Track coverage is explained in more depth on the Track Package page.
