What does window tint cost on a Silverado 1500?
On a Double Cab or Crew Cab Silverado, the rear package is $240 in LLumar ATC for both rear door windows and the back window or slider. Ceramic in IRX or AIR on those windows has its own package price.
| Silverado 1500 glass | What’s included | From |
|---|---|---|
| Rear package, Double Cab or Crew Cab | Both rear door windows and the back window or slider | $240 |
| Ceramic upgrade | IRX or AIR on the rear package | Quoted per package |
| WT Regular Cab | The back window on its own | Quoted per truck |
| Front door windows | Driver and front passenger | $160, not road-legal in BC |
| Windshield, filmed from the inside | Whole windshield | $200; BC allows only the top 75 mm |
The film is genuine LLumar, plotter-cut for your truck’s year and cab, and the shop’s lifetime warranty covers both film and installation. Booking several packages in one visit usually prices below the list added together, so ask for the combined figure. The window tint price list has every package.
Can you tint the Silverado’s power sliding rear window with the defogger?
Yes. Chevrolet’s 2027 Silverado page lists a rear power sliding window with defogger among the LT/Z71 trim’s features, and that glass takes film like any other back window. The grid runs on the cabin side, the film goes on the same side over it, and the lines keep warming the glass underneath.
Two things protect that grid. New film is cut on the plotter, so no blade touches the glass, and any old film already on the slider is lifted with steam, never scraped. The slider also stays shut for three to five days afterwards while the film cures. More on heated back glass is in tinting over rear defroster lines.
Do Regular, Double and Crew Cab Silverados tint differently?
Yes, because each cab puts a different amount of glass behind the driver. Chevrolet Canada’s 2026 page names all three when it says the 5.3L V8 is available on “WT Regular Cab long bed, Double Cab and Crew Cab models”.
- Crew Cab: full-size rear doors plus the back window, the standard rear package.
- Double Cab: smaller rear doors plus the back window, also the rear package.
- Regular Cab: one row of seats, so the back window is the only glass behind you and it’s quoted per truck.
Model year matters as much as the cab. Chevrolet describes the 2027 Silverado as the next-generation light-duty truck, “redesigned and reimagined throughout”, so give the year and the pattern is cut for that body.
Which Silverado windows can legally carry film in BC?
Everything behind the driver can, with one condition on the back window. MVAR s. 7.05(8) sorts a Silverado’s glass like this:
| Silverado window | Where it falls in s. 7.05(8) | Film allowed |
|---|---|---|
| Rear door windows | (b), a side window behind the driver | Any shade |
| Back window or slider | (c), the rear window | Any shade, provided both outside mirrors are in place |
| Front door windows | No exception covers them | None, clear film included |
| Windshield | (a) | The top 75 mm only |
Front door film and full windshield film are available on request, but neither is legal on BC roads. The 2025 Vehicle Inspection Manual fails front door film under item 13d, and windshield film reaching below the top 75 mm under item 12e. At the roadside it usually means a $109 ticket, and police can also require removal plus an inspection of the truck. The shop explains that before you choose, and the front window rule is covered in full on its own page.
Does a Silverado’s panoramic sunroof take film?
It can, as a separate quote. For 2027 Chevrolet makes the panoramic sunroof standard on the High Country and available on the ZR2, Trail Boss and the LT/Z71 trim it calls Silverado. Roof glass is measured from your truck, and panoramic roof tint explains how it’s priced.
Chevrolet’s pages give no light-transmission numbers for the Silverado’s glass, roof or sides. If your rear windows are already dark from the factory, film stacks on top of them, so 20% film laid over 20% glass ends up close to 4%. Look closely at your rear glass, ideally with the installer, before picking a shade.
How do you book Silverado 1500 tint in Langley?
Include the model year, cab, trim, whether the back window slides, whether there’s a glass roof, and your film: ATC, IRX or AIR. The quote lists the rear package, any ceramic difference and the roof.
The full truck takes roughly two to four hours, and most Silverados go home the same day. If a faint haze shows up during the first week, it’s moisture drying out of the film. The Silverado tint quote form takes those details, or text them to 604 534 6433.
