What does a GV70 PPF package cost?
From $850 to $4,000 in LLumar Platinum, depending on how much of the GV70 you cover. Those are starting prices: a larger SUV, a lot of panel shaping or paint that needs correcting first can take the quote higher.
| Package | What it covers on a GV70 | From |
|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | Front bumper, front part of the hood and fenders, headlamps, mirror housings | $850 |
| Full Front | Hood and front fenders in full, front bumper, headlamps, mirror housings | $1,550 |
| Track Package | Full Front, the A-pillars, part of the roof and the rocker panels | $1,900 |
| Full Vehicle | All painted surfaces and the headlamps | $4,000 |
Gloss or matte, Platinum carries LLumar’s 10-year manufacturer’s limited warranty, and the shop lists yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling among the defects it covers in its own published terms. Paint is cleaned of contamination and corrected where needed before film goes on.
Which GV70s wear matte paint?
The upper trims. Genesis Canada’s 2027 GV70 brochure lists Matterhorn White Matte, Makalu Grey Matte and Ceres Blue Matte for the 2.5T Prestige and 3.5T Prestige Sport, with Ceres Blue Matte also marked for the 3.5T Prestige Graphite. The 2026 brochure offered four matte shades, Storr Green Matte among them, on the 2.5T Prestige and 3.5T Sport.
| GV70 matte colour | 2026 | 2027 |
|---|---|---|
| Matterhorn White Matte | 2.5T Prestige, 3.5T Sport | 2.5T Prestige, 3.5T Prestige Sport |
| Makalu Grey Matte | 2.5T Prestige, 3.5T Sport | 2.5T Prestige, 3.5T Prestige Sport |
| Storr Green Matte | 2.5T Prestige, 3.5T Sport | Not listed |
| Ceres Blue Matte | 2.5T Prestige, 3.5T Sport | Matte trims, also marked for the 3.5T Prestige Graphite |
Both brochures are in Genesis’s Download Centre. On those cars, the film to ask for is LLumar Platinum Matte, which keeps a flat finish flat; gloss film over matte paint would leave shiny panels.
Why does matte paint make film more important on a GV70?
Because Genesis says matte can’t be repaired in spots. The 2026 GV70 Owner’s Manual states: “It is impossible to only repaint the damaged area. The whole part must be repainted as necessary.” A stone chip in a matte hood is a hood repaint, not a touch-up.
The same manual rules out rotating-brush car washes, steam cleaners, wax and polish on matte finishes. Film doesn’t change those rules, but it moves the risk: a scuff lands in replaceable film rather than in paint that can only be fixed panel by panel. PPF on matte paint and the matte PPF page go further into the finish.
Where does film have to stay clear of the GV70’s radar?
Near the front and rear radar units in the bumpers. The 2026 manual shows a front radar, a front corner radar on equipped cars and rear corner radars, and its caution reads: “Do not install a license plate frame or other objects such as bumper sticker, film, bumper guard, or bumper wrap near the radar.”
It also lists ultrasonic parking sensors front and rear, with side sensors on some trims, and an active air flap below the front bumper that Genesis uses to cool vehicle parts. So the bumper pattern has to work around the radar area, every sensor and the flap opening. Before the bumper is filmed, ask the installer to show you where the film will stop near the radar and whether any relief cut is needed; you see it before it’s laid.
What else on the GV70’s front end does the film meet?
Headlamps and mirrors, in every package. Genesis’s GV70 highlights describe Two-Line MLA headlamps beside the Double Mesh G-Matrix grille, and the 3.5T models get a Sport Exclusive G-Matrix grille instead.
On the 2027 3.5T Prestige Graphite, Genesis fits gloss black mirror caps with dark chrome accents. Those caps are part of the mirror housings, which every one of the four packages covers, so they’re protected whichever you choose.
How do you book GV70 PPF in Langley?
Send the year, trim and colour, and say plainly if the paint is matte. The shop confirms the starting price for your package, looks at the paint when the GV70 arrives and explains any correction first.
Partial Front is usually a one-day job, Full Front and the Track Package take one to two days, and Full Vehicle three to five. Wait a week before the first wash. Use the GV70 PPF quote form, and ask about GV70 window tint for the same visit.
