What does PPF cost on an Ioniq 6?
From $850 for Partial Front to $4,000 for every painted panel, all in self-healing LLumar Platinum. Each package is a starting price; the final figure depends on the panels, the edges and the condition of the paint.
| Package | Coverage | From |
|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | Whole bumper, leading section of hood and fenders, lights, mirrors | $850 |
| Full Front | Entire hood and fenders, bumper, headlights, mirrors | $1,550 |
| Track Package | Full Front with the A-pillars, partial roof and rocker panels | $1,900 |
| Full Vehicle | Every painted surface plus the headlights | $4,000 |
Before film touches the car, the paint is decontaminated and, if it calls for it, corrected; film edges are then wrapped around each panel that allows it. If a relief cut is unavoidable on the bumper, the shop shows you where first. LLumar backs the film for 10 years, and yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling are among the faults the shop’s terms cover.
How does the Ioniq 6’s low, aero shape affect the film?
It puts a lot of fine detail right where stones hit. Hyundai Canada’s 2025 data has the car at 1,495 mm tall with 150 mm of ground clearance and an 850 mm front overhang, and lists an active air flap system in the nose.
Hyundai Europe’s Ioniq 6 press kit adds the details a template has to follow:
- Wheel gap reducers that close the space between the front bumper and the tires.
- More than 700 “Parametric Pixels” across the headlamps, rear lamps and front lower sensors.
- An elliptical, wing-inspired rear spoiler with a winglet, and separation traps on both sides of the rear bumper.
On a car this low, the bumper face, the hood’s leading edge and the mirror caps take the brunt of grit thrown up by traffic ahead. Partial Front covers those. Full Front carries the film back to the windshield so there’s no visible line across the hood; partial versus full front PPF compares the two.
What does Hyundai say about film near the Ioniq 6’s radar?
Keep it off. The 2025 Ioniq 6 manual lists film among the things not to apply near the front radar cover, alongside bumper stickers, bumper guards and plate frames. On cars fitted with corner radars, it gives the same instruction for the front and rear corners.
The manual also warns that replacing or painting the radar cover can reduce how well forward collision assist works, and asks owners not to aim pressurized water straight at a sensor. Hyundai Canada lists front and rear parking distance warning as standard, with side sensors and a surround-view camera available on the AWD. Before the job, get the shop to point out how close the film will come to each of these.
Can a matte Ioniq 6 be protected with PPF?
Yes, with matte film. Hyundai’s European launch kit lists two matte paints for the Ioniq 6, Gravity Gold Matte and Nocturne Gray Matte; Hyundai Canada’s 2025 data doesn’t say which colours were sold here, so check the paint on yours.
If it is matte, the maintenance chapter is strict: no rotating-brush car washes, no wax or polish, and repair of “the whole part” when damage needs paint. LLumar Platinum Matte keeps a satin look over the paint. On a gloss Ioniq 6, matte film would turn the paint satin, which some owners choose on purpose; matte PPF shows both uses.
How do you book PPF for an Ioniq 6 in Langley?
Tell the shop the model year, RWD or AWD, the colour, and the package you’re considering. The paint gets checked, the price is set for your car and the timing confirmed, usually one day for Partial Front. The first wash waits a week; after that, hand washing or a touchless bay is fine. Book on the Ioniq 6 PPF quote form, and see Ioniq 6 window tint if the glass is next.
