How much is window tint on an Ioniq 6?

The price includes genuine LLumar film cut on the plotter for the Ioniq 6, so nothing is trimmed with a blade on the car, and a lifetime warranty on the film and the labour. What glass does an Ioniq 6 leave the factory with?
Treated glass up front, and nothing listed as privacy glass behind. Hyundai Canada’s 2025 Ioniq 6 spec data shows two glass rows for both Preferred Long Range trims: solar glass on the front windows and an acoustic film windshield.
That changes how you pick a shade. Where the rear glass starts light, the finished window ends up close to the film’s measured figure: ATC 35, for example, measures 38% visible light on LLumar’s sheet. Can the Ioniq 6 sunroof and heated back glass be tinted?
Yes, both. The 2025 manual describes a wide sunroof with a power sunshade, and Hyundai Canada’s sheet quotes a separate front headroom figure “with sunroof” for the Long Range AWD, so check whether your car has the glass before asking for a roof price.
The back glass is heated, with a rear window defroster on a timer, and it sits above a separate trunk lid with a hands-free opener. Film goes on the inside over the heater lines and is squeegeed with water, never scraped. If it ever has to come off, steam lifts it without cutting the grid. What does Hyundai say about tinting the Ioniq 6 windshield?
Don’t. The driver-assistance chapter of the 2025 Ioniq 6 manual is blunt: no accessories, no stickers and no tint on the front windshield. It also lists a “tinted, filmed or coated windshield” among the things that can stop the forward collision system from working properly.
For cars with a head-up display, the convenience chapter warns that tinting the windshield, or adding “other types of metallic coating” to it, can make the projected image invisible. Hyundai Canada’s 2025 sheet doesn’t list a HUD for the Ioniq 6, but the warning covers any car that has one.
