How much is PPF for a Lexus GX?
Partial Front opens at $850 and Full Vehicle at $4,000 on a GX, with Full Front ($1,550) and Track ($1,900) in between. A GX is a big, upright SUV, so the final number depends on its size, its panels and the state of its paint.

Lexus Canada’s 2027 GX product summary puts the GX 550 at 5,005 mm long and 1,921 mm tall, which is a lot of hood and fender to cover. Platinum’s cover is LLumar’s 10-year manufacturer’s limited warranty, with yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling listed in the shop’s own terms.
Which parts of a GX meet the gravel first?
The tall, flat nose. Lexus’s launch release for the 2024 GX describes a “square-body profile with a horizontal design motif” and says the triple-beam LED headlamps and the grille opening “have been raised”. It also cut the front overhang by 0.78 inches.
A near-vertical front end takes stones square on rather than letting them glance off, so most of the damage lands on the bumper, the hood’s front edge and the headlamps. Both front packages cover all three. Winter adds grit: according to its snow and ice page, the City of Langley puts brine on its priority routes and spreads salt, or salt mixed with sand. Does an Overtrail GX need more coverage?
It has more reasons to want it. Lexus gives the Overtrail grades “black accented overfenders”, a standard aluminum skid plate and “33-inch All-Terrain tires wrapped around 18-inch wheels”, and Lexus Canada lists 249 mm of ground clearance against 221 mm on the other grades.
All-terrain tread picks up stones and flicks them back along the body, and the rocker panels and lower doors sit right in that path. The Track Package adds the rockers, and Full Vehicle takes in the doors and rear quarters. Ask for the overfenders to be listed on the quote if you want them covered too. What does the film work around on a GX?
Washers, sensors and cameras. The 2027 GX specifications list headlamp washers and Intuitive Parking Assist with Auto Braking on every grade, and a power back door with a kick sensor on the Premium, Luxury, Executive and Overtrail+.
Before cutting, the installer marks where your GX’s sensors and washer covers sit, and the film edges are trimmed around them. Occasionally a tight bumper curve needs a relief cut, and you’ll see where before it’s made. A warning light that’s already on should be mentioned at drop-off.
How do you book PPF for a GX?
Send the year, grade and colour. Lexus lists 11 GX colours in Canada, four of them Overtrail-only two-tones with a black roof, and matte Platinum would turn any of them satin, so choose gloss or matte before the templates are cut.
Partial Front keeps a GX for about a day; Full Front and Track can run to two, and Full Vehicle three to five. Before film, the GX is decontaminated and any paint that needs it is corrected.
