What does PPF cost on a Ram 1500?
On a Ram, the four LLumar Platinum packages are opening prices, $850 at the low end and $4,000 for the whole truck, before tax. A full-size Ram has much more painted metal than a car, so the shop prices your truck from the truck.
| Package | From | On a Ram 1500 |
|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | $850 | Bumper paint, first part of hood |
| Full Front | $1,550 | Whole hood, sport hood included |
| Track Package | $1,900 | Adds sills under the cab, pillars |
| Full Vehicle | $4,000 | Doors, box sides, tailgate as well |
Headlights and mirrors are in all four, partial fenders come with Partial Front and full fenders from Full Front up, and Track adds part of the roof. Platinum self-heals light marks with heat and is offered in gloss or matte. Its warranty is LLumar’s 10-year limited term, and the shop’s own list of what’s covered reads yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling. The full front PPF page goes deeper on the package most Ram owners weigh first.
Which Ram 1500 trims have painted bumpers?
That’s the first question, because a front package is built around paint. Ram Canada’s 2026 trim list and the 2027 Canadian feature list give these finishes:
| Ram 1500 trim or package | Bumpers and front trim Ram lists |
|---|---|
| Express, 2026 | Body-colour bumpers and grille surround |
| Big Horn, 2026 | Chrome front and rear bumpers |
| Backcountry, 2026 | Black steel front and rear bumpers |
| Night Edition Package, 2027 | Body-colour bumpers and mirror caps |
| Medium Sport Appearance Package, 2027 | Body-colour bumpers, grille surround, handles, mirror caps |
| Black Express and Rebel, 2026 | Sport performance hood |
Ram offers Night Edition on five trims, from Tradesman to Limited, and Medium Sport on the Big Horn alone. A Big Horn on chrome bumpers has far less painted surface up front than an Express or a Night Edition truck, so Partial Front does less work on it and the hood becomes the main concern. Tell the shop your trim and packages when you ask.
Where does a Ram 1500 pick up stone chips?
The hood’s leading edge, any painted bumper, the mirrors and the sills under the cab take most of it, and on a Ram the shape of each varies by trim. Ram Canada says the 2026 Ram 1500 has a redesigned full front fascia with trim-specific grille surrounds, so the front-end pattern depends on your trim.
The off-road models are wider. The 2027 Canadian specifications put the RHO and TRX SRT Crew Cabs at 2,235 mm across, against 2,062 mm for the other Crew Cabs, which means broader fenders to film. If your Ram has the power trailer-tow mirrors Ram lists among its towing features in the 2027 press kit, say so, since every package includes the mirrors. For daily highway driving, PPF coverage for Highway 1 commuters sets out what’s worth covering.
Does the Ram aluminum-panel bulletin apply to your truck?
Only to the older DS-body Ram 1500. Stellantis Collision Service Bulletin 31-001-25 Rev. B covers repairs for aluminum panels that corrode or bubble at the hood’s leading edge, hinges, doors and fenders. For the Ram 1500 it names only the DS body, model years 2013 through 2025; no other 1500 body appears on its list.
Owners of a DS should run a finger along the hood’s front lip before the appointment. Any bubbling is a dealer matter first, since PPF would lock it in, and the installer will want to see that edge bare.
How do you book PPF for a Ram 1500?
Give the shop the model year, cab, box length, trim, any appearance package, and the PPF package and finish you want. The PPF quote form takes all of it, as does a text to 604 534 6433; mention tow mirrors, a lift or aftermarket bumpers if fitted.
Partial Front keeps a Ram for about a day; Full Front or Track takes up to two, and Full Vehicle three to five days. Bonded grime is lifted from the paint first, and swirls are polished out where needed. Hold off washing for seven days after pickup, and after that keep to hand or touchless washes, never brushes.
