What does PPF cost on a Toyota 4Runner?
The front of a 4Runner can be filmed from $850, or $1,550 with the whole hood and fenders, in self-healing LLumar Platinum. LLumar calls its cover a 10-year manufacturer’s limited warranty; the faults the shop names are yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling.
| Package | Covers | From |
|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | Bumper, plus the forward hood and fender areas, headlights, mirrors | $850 |
| Full Front | Full hood, full fenders, full bumper, headlights, mirrors | $1,550 |
| Track Package | Full Front, A-pillars, rocker panels and some of the roof | $1,900 |
| Full Vehicle | All painted surfaces, headlights | $4,000 |
Size, panel shapes and the state of the paint move the final figure. Expect a day for Partial Front, one or two for Full Front and the Track Package, and three to five for the whole truck, with decontamination and any correction done first. Full Front PPF explains why that package is the usual choice.
Which 4Runner grades have painted overfenders?
Only some. Toyota Canada’s 2026 specifications split the wheel-arch finish by grade, and that decides whether the fender film carries on over the arches or stops at black trim.
| 2026 4Runner grade | Overfenders | Hood scoop |
|---|---|---|
| TRD Sport | Body-coloured | Yes |
| Limited | Body-coloured | No |
| Platinum (i-FORCE MAX) | Body-coloured | No |
| TRD Off Road Premium (i-FORCE MAX) | MIC black | No |
| Trailhunter | MIC black | No |
| TRD Pro | Gloss black | Yes |
The table doesn’t list an overfender finish for the SR5 or the gas TRD Off Road Premium, so check your own. A hood scoop adds a raised shape to the hood, which Full Front covers with the rest of the panel; Partial Front’s hood coverage stops partway back. Toyota’s 4Runner page adds that the TRD Pro and Trailhunter get overfenders widened by 1.5 inches.
How do the TRD Pro and Trailhunter front ends change the job?
They swap parts at the front. Both wear a TOYOTA heritage grille with an LED light bar, and Toyota Canada’s 2025 pricing release adds an aluminum TRD front skid plate on the TRD Pro, and rock rails with hot stamped steel skid plates on the Trailhunter.
The specifications put the approach angle of both at 33 degrees against 18 or 19 for the other grades, and their width at 2,030 mm against about 1,980 mm. Film goes on paint, not on skid plates or rock rails, so the template works around that armour and covers the painted bumper sections, hood and fenders between. Tell the shop which grade you have; the off-road protection page covers trail use more broadly.
What does Toyota say about the 4Runner’s grille, bumpers and sensors?
Mind the radar and the rear bumper paint. On a 4Runner the radar is behind the grille, not the emblem. The 2025 4Runner owner’s manual asks owners not to spray it head-on with a pressure washer and lists “transparent stickers” among the things not to attach to the sensor, its cover or the surrounding area.
Chipped or scratched rear bumper paint, the manual adds, can upset Intuitive Parking Assist, Parking Support Brake, the secondary collision brake, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and the Blind Spot Monitor. Replacing the front bumper or grille means the radar has to be recalibrated. Intuitive Parking Assist comes on every 2026 grade except the SR5. The film is laid out to keep those zones clear, and any relief cut is shown to you before the film goes down.
How do you book PPF for a 4Runner in Langley?
Give the shop the model year, grade and colour, and say how the truck is used: daily, towing or trail. A firm package price comes after a look at the paint.
Don’t wash it for a week. Then stick to hand washing or a touchless bay, and keep the pressure nozzle well back from every film edge. Use the 4Runner PPF quote form. For the rest of the vehicle, see 4Runner window tint, 4Runner ceramic coating and the 4Runner chrome delete.
