How is a 4Runner chrome delete priced?
Per truck, after the shop sees which pieces you want covered. There’s no list price, because a Limited with silver handles and rails, a Platinum with dark chrome accents and an SR5 with mostly black trim are three different jobs.
What sets the figure is the number of pieces, their shape and whether the grille is part of it. The vinyl is 3M or Avery Dennison cast film in gloss or satin black, with a 5-year warranty on the vinyl as the shop publishes it. Where is the bright trim on a 2025 or newer 4Runner?
It depends on the grade. Toyota Canada’s 2026 specifications and 2026 launch release list:

The Limited and Platinum are where most of the bright finish lives. Toyota’s 2025 reveal release describes the Platinum’s “unique black exterior styling elements” alongside those dark chrome accents, and the Trailhunter’s heritage grille with bronze TOYOTA lettering. What about a 2010 to 2024 4Runner?
It’s a different body with different trim, so give the shop the year. Toyota dates the fifth generation from 2010 to 2024, and Toyota Canada’s 2024 4Runner release, for its final year, shows how the grades split.
The 2024 Limited came with LED fog lamps in a chrome bezel, while the SR5’s fog lamps sat in a black bezel, and the TRD Sport had black painted roof rails. Can vinyl go near the 4Runner’s grille radar and lamps?
Near them, not over them. Toyota’s 2025 4Runner owner’s manual places the radar behind the grille and says not to attach stickers, including transparent ones, to a radar sensor, its cover or the area around it, and not to paint or modify the cover. Lamps have their own rule. Section 6, item 1.0(a) of the 2025 Vehicle Inspection Manual rejects a lamp whose lens reduces the light or is “covered in any manner”, so vinyl stays off the TRD Pro and Trailhunter LED light bar, the fog lamp lenses and the headlamps. Surrounds and bezels are fair game.
