What’s the price of PPF on a Tiguan?
$850 for Partial Front up to $4,000 for every painted panel, in four steps. All four use LLumar Platinum, a self-healing film fitted from software-cut templates, with edges wrapped where each panel allows it.

Treat those as floors. VW Canada lists the 2026 Tiguan at 4,684 mm long and 2,151 mm wide with the mirrors out, and size, extra sensor openings or paint that needs work first can all lift the number. Does an R-Line Tiguan need a different front pattern?
Yes, because VW gives it a different exterior. In the 2026 Tiguan Buyer’s Guide, the Highline Turbo R-Line 4MOTION gets “R-Line exterior design”, and the Comfortline R-Line Black Edition gets “R-Line exterior design with black-styling elements”, plus black mirror housings, black roof rails and black window surrounds.

A template made for the standard bumper won’t fit the R-Line one, so tell the shop the trim, not just “2026 Tiguan”. VW Canada’s model page also describes “an LED light bar on the front and rear”, so ask how the film edge will meet it on your trim.
How many sensors and cameras sit in a Tiguan’s bumpers?
At least the parking sensors front and rear, on every 2026 trim. VW Canada lists Park Distance Control with front and rear sensors as standard from the Trendline, and the Highline adds Park Assist and an Area View 360° camera system.
Each sensor and camera is a spot the bumper pattern has to account for, and the more of them a trim has, the more cut-outs and relief cuts the job can need. That’s part of why a Highline and a Trendline aren’t quoted as one job. Ask to see where the edges will sit before the install starts.
Should the black roof on a Black Edition get film?
Only if you want the Track Package or Full Vehicle, since those are the packages that reach the roof. In VW Canada’s 2026 colour chart, the black-roof versions of Oryx White Pearl, Pyrite Silver Metallic, Platinum Grey Metallic, Monterey Blue Pearl, Ascot Grey and Avocado Green Pearl are offered on the Comfortline R-Line Black Edition only.
On a two-tone car, the roof edge and A-pillars meet at a colour break, and the Track Package covers the A-pillars and part of the roof. Most stone hits on any SUV land lower, on the bumper and hood edge. Winter abrasive on BC highways can be up to 9.5 mm, and at 110 km/h a stone hits with almost double the energy it carries at 80, per TranBC. What about the Tiguan’s rear bumper and tailgate?
Ask for them if the cargo area sees heavy use. VW’s own accessory list for the 2026 Tiguan includes a chrome bumper protector and a protective strip for the tailgate, which tells you where loading wear tends to show.
Clear film on the top of the rear bumper does the same job without changing the look, and it can be quoted alongside a front package. On Full Vehicle it’s already included. The Track Package is the step to look at if rocker panels and the roof edge matter more to you than the back.
