Which PPF package suits an XC90?
Full Front or Track covers what matters most on an XC90: a tall, upright nose takes stones head-on, and the sills behind the front wheels catch what the tires throw. All four packages use LLumar Platinum; here are the starting prices and what each covers on this SUV:

Platinum’s top coat heals light swirls with warmth, and it comes in gloss or matte. The film carries LLumar’s 10-year limited warranty, and the shop’s published terms single out four failures it covers: yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling. What sits in the XC90’s front bumper?
Parking sensors and a lower mesh, and Volvo has written a bulletin about each. On early 2016–2017 XC90s, TJ 29122 describes the front park assist sensor bracket coming loose from the lower grille, which tells you where those sensors are mounted on this generation.
The newest bumper has its own note. TJ 37553, issued in September 2026, covers 2025 XC90s with the front bumper cover built from production week 46 of 2024. If the gap between the bumper and the lower mesh looks wider than it should, Volvo’s fix is to remove the bumper and reinforce it with new clips. Have that done under warranty first, so the film goes onto a bumper that sits where it should.
Why check the door handles on a 2016 or 2017 XC90?
Because the handles themselves can mark the paint. Under Service Action S89807, Volvo found that “the painted surface under the exterior door handles may become scratched by the handles” on certain 2016–2017 XC90s, and the fix in TJ 32183 was tape under all four handles.
If you’re buying one of these XC90s used, look under each handle before you book. Scratches already there can be polished out or touched up before film goes on, never trapped under it. The front packages stop short of the doors, so the handle areas are only filmed under Full Vehicle; mention them when you ask for that quote.
Does the XC90’s trim change the rear bumper?
Yes, and it shows when a towbar goes on. In Service Product Journal 34549, Volvo issued separate cutting templates for the Momentum and Inscription rear bumper and for the R-Design one on the 2016-on XC90, because the bumper skin has to be cut for a foldable hitch.
That matters for Full Vehicle, where the rear bumper is filmed along with everything else. If a hitch is planned, have it fitted before the film goes on and say so at the quote, so the bumper is priced the way it will look. Give the trim name, not just “XC90”, when you ask for that quote.
How do you book PPF for an XC90 in Langley?
