Tesla Model Y Wrap in Langley, BC

At a glance

Brookswood Tint prices each Model Y wrap individually, using cast films from 3M or Avery Dennison; the shop publishes a five-year maker's warranty on that vinyl. It's the route to a finish Tesla doesn't sell: the Model Y paint-code tables list metallic, multi-coat and solid colours but nothing satin or matte. The vinyl also has to leave the car's side and pillar cameras clear.

How much does it cost to wrap a Model Y?

There’s no published price; a Model Y wrap is quoted from the car. The number moves with the area covered, the film and finish, any door jambs you add, and how sound the paint is underneath.

What you’re after How it’s priced
Full colour change Quoted per car, by film and finish
Roof, hood or mirrors only Quoted by the panels involved
Door jambs added Quoted on top, if you want them done
Trim and badges in black Quoted as a Model Y chrome delete

Chips and deep scratches show through vinyl, which is why the shop looks at the paint first; wrapping a car with rock chips explains the trade-off.

Which finishes can a wrap give a Model Y that Tesla can’t?

Satin, matte, colour-shift, chrome and textured finishes, plus any colour outside Tesla’s list. The paint-code table in the 2025+ Model Y service manual has only metallic and tricoat metallic finishes, and the 2020–2024 table adds a solid black and a quadcoat red. Neither shows a satin or matte option.

So a matte grey, a satin black or a green Model Y comes from vinyl. The photo on this page is the shop’s matte metallic gunmetal wrap on a Mercedes GLS, a similar large-SUV shape, not a Tesla. For colour ideas and how a full change is planned, see colour change wraps.

What does the vinyl work around on a Model Y?

Cameras first, then the bolt-on trim. Several of the Model Y’s driver-assist cameras sit in body parts that a wrap covers or meets:

Those lenses stay uncovered. The trim is a separate question: the front fender garnish on the 2025+ car comes off by releasing a push clip, eleven clips and a tab, and Tesla’s badges section lists the Model Y script, Dual Motor, Long Range and Performance badges and the front and rear Tesla emblems as separate parts. Ask the shop how each piece on your car will be handled before you sign off on the quote.

Can a Model Y wrap come off at lease end or sale?

Yes. Cast vinyl is made to be removed, with heat and patience, and how cleanly it comes away depends on its age, how much sun it has seen and how sound the paint was underneath. The detail is on whether a car wrap can be removed.

A wrap also keeps sun and grime off the factory paint while it’s on, but it isn’t stone-chip armour. If chips worry you more than colour, Model Y PPF is the product for that, and LLumar’s matte PPF turns gloss paint satin while it does that job.

How do you book a Model Y wrap in Langley?

To price it, the shop needs the model year and trim, the colour or film code you’re considering, the panels you want covered, and well-lit pictures of the paint. You’ll get a figure and a schedule back, since wrap time depends on coverage and film.

Questions about tesla Model Y wrap

01Can I wrap just the roof or hood of my Model Y?

Yes. Partial wraps are quoted the same way as full ones, by the panels involved. A contrasting roof or hood changes the look without committing to the whole car.

02Do I need to tell ICBC about a Model Y wrap?

ICBC counts a wrap as additional vehicle equipment. Call your broker or ICBC to ask what that means for your policy, and keep the invoice naming the film and colour.

03Will the wrap cover the door jambs?

Only if you ask for it and it's quoted that way. Without jambs, the original colour shows when a door is open.

04Can a Model Y wrap go back to the factory colour later?

Yes. Cast vinyl is made to be removed with heat, and the shop does removals too. How cleanly it comes off depends on the wrap's age and the paint underneath.
