How much does Palisade window tint cost?
A Palisade’s rear windows start at $260 in LLumar ATC, priced on the shop’s full-size SUV rear package. IRX or AIR ceramic on those same windows is priced per package, and the sunroof is quoted on its own.
| What gets filmed | From |
|---|---|
| Rear doors, rear side glass and hatch, LLumar ATC | $260 |
| The same rear glass in IRX or AIR ceramic | Quoted per package |
| Sunroof glass | Quoted per vehicle |
| Driver’s and front passenger’s door windows | $140, not road-legal in BC |
| Full windshield, applied from the inside | $200, not road-legal in BC |
The shop’s plotter cuts each piece from the Palisade’s pattern for its model year, so the glass and trim never meet a blade, and each piece is then heat-formed to its curve by hand. Film and labour carry a lifetime warranty. Pairing ceramic or roof film with the rear package in one booking normally prices below the separate list figures, so ask for the combined number. The window tint price list lays out each package.
What glass does Hyundai fit to the 2027 Palisade?
Acoustically laminated side glass all round, with privacy glass in the back. Hyundai Canada’s 2027 Palisade spec sheet lists acoustically laminated front and rear windows, solar control glass, rear privacy glass and manual rear sunshades on all five trims. What changes from trim to trim is the roof and the electronics behind the glass.
| 2027 trim | Roof glass | Head-up display | Built-in dash cam |
|---|---|---|---|
| Preferred Trend | Power tilt-and-slide sunroof | No | No |
| XRT Pro | Power tilt-and-slide sunroof | No | No |
| Luxury 8P/7P hybrid | Power tilt-and-slide sunroof | No | No |
| Ultimate Calligraphy, gas or hybrid | Dual-panel sunroof, fixed rear panel | Yes | Yes, dual-channel |
Hyundai Canada’s sheet gives no light-transmission figure for this privacy glass, so look at your rear doors in daylight before picking a shade. Film multiplies with what’s already there: 20% film on 20% glass leaves roughly 4%. How dark factory privacy glass is covers the range carmakers use.
Laminated rear windows tint the same way as tempered ones, because the film sits on the inside surface and never reaches the interlayer. One older-model note: Hyundai bulletin 23-BD-001H says the acoustic laminated privacy glass in the rear doors of some 2023 Palisades can look slightly hazy in strong sun, which Hyundai calls normal. Mention it at drop-off so nobody blames the film.
What does Hyundai’s manual say about tint on a Palisade?
Keep film off the windshield, think about the dash cam before going dark, and avoid metallic film. All three warnings sit in Hyundai Canada’s 2026 Palisade owner’s manual.
The windshield, camera and HUD
The driver-assistance chapter says to “never install any accessories or stickers on the front windshield, or tint the front windshield,” because the front view camera looks through it. The convenience features chapter repeats the point for the head-up display on Ultimate Calligraphy trims: no tint and no “other types of metallic coating” on the windshield.
The dash cam
Hyundai warns that “the quality of video may decrease if the tint on the windows is too dark,” and that partial film in front of the lens can hide footage. The recorder films through both the windshield and the back glass, so Ultimate Calligraphy owners may want a lighter shade on the hatch.
The smart key
According to the manual, tint with metal in it can interfere with the smart key’s signal and shorten its range. ATC, IRX and AIR carry no metal layer; whether tint blocks signals explains the difference. Hyundai’s maintenance chapter also asks that tinting solution be kept out of the cabin’s electronics, so ask how the door switches are protected while the film goes on wet.
Can you tint a Palisade’s front door windows in BC?
No. Under MVAR s. 7.05(8), film may go only on side windows behind the driver’s seat, a 75 mm strip along the top of the windshield, and the rear window provided the vehicle has outside mirrors left and right. The Palisade’s front windows come laminated and solar-treated from Hyundai, and any film added to them, clear included, is outside the rule and fails an inspection.
The shop will fit front-door film when a customer insists, after explaining the ticket, the risk of an order to remove it, and the inspection that follows. The rules are set out in front window tint in BC.
How do you book Palisade tint in Langley?
Send the model year and trim, say whether it’s the gas V6 or the hybrid, and mention whether you want the sunroof done. You’ll hear back with a rear-glass price, the extra for ceramic and a sunroof number. Most Palisades are finished the same day, then the windows stay up for three to five days. Ask through the Palisade tint quote form or call 604 534 6433. If you’re protecting the paint as well, Palisade PPF covers the front-end options.
