Which panes that means depends on the top and doors you run: Jeep sells the Wrangler with a soft top, a three-piece hardtop that brings a rear defroster and wiper, or the Sky One-Touch power top, and its 2026 Canadian list fits deep-tinted sunscreen rear and quarter windows to every trim except the base Sport.

What does Wrangler window tint cost?

On a four-door with a hardtop, the windows behind the front doors begin at $260 in LLumar ATC. Two-door Jeeps and soft tops have a different set of windows, so they’re quoted from what’s actually there.

Wrangler tint Windows From
SUV rear package, four-door Rear doors, quarter windows, rear window $260
Same glass in IRX or AIR ceramic Rear doors, quarters, rear window Quoted per package
Two-door, or soft-top windows Depends on the top Quoted per Jeep
Front doors and windshield Fitted on request Not road-legal in BC below the top 75 mm

The film is cut on the plotter from your Wrangler’s own pattern, heat-shrunk to the glass by hand, with lifetime cover on both the film and the labour. The window tint pricing page lays out each package.

Which Wrangler windows are glass you can tint?

On a hardtop four-door, all the side glass behind the driver plus the rear window. Jeep’s 2026 Canadian feature list gives every trim full metal doors with power windows, and offers three roofs:

2026 Wrangler top What Jeep lists
Sunrider soft top Standard on most trims
Three-piece hardtop, black or body colour Rear window defroster, rear washer and wiper, Freedom Panel storage bag; standard on the Sahara
Sky One-Touch power top Optional on four-door Sport S, Sahara, Rubicon and Moab 392

With the soft top, the windows behind the doors are part of the fabric top itself. Jeep’s 2018 launch kit says the soft top’s rear passenger windows use retainers that slide into a track, so they come out easily. Tell the shop which top your Jeep wears when you ask, and it will tell you which windows can take film.

The hardtop’s defroster grid is no problem. Film goes over it, and if old film ever has to come off that glass, the shop uses steam rather than a blade so the grid survives.

How dark is the factory sunscreen glass on a Wrangler?

Jeep doesn’t publish a light transmission figure. Its 2026 list only says the deep-tinted sunscreen rear and quarter windows are optional on the Sport and standard on the Sport S, Rubicon, Sahara and Moab 392.

What matters is that film stacks on top of it. Put 20% film on glass that passes 20% and roughly 4% gets through, much darker than either number suggests. On a Sport with the standard glass, the same film reads far lighter. If you want the factory look with less heat, AIR 80, a near-clear LLumar film, transmits 77% of visible light on the spec sheet and rejects 60% of infrared energy (IRER). For the range of factory glass figures that makers publish, see how dark factory privacy glass is.

How does BC tint law apply to a Jeep with removable doors and a folding windshield?

The rule follows the glass, not the hardware. Under MVAR s. 7.05(8), film is allowed only on windows behind the driver, on the rear window when there’s an outside mirror on each side, and in the top 75 mm of the windshield.

  • Front doors. Their glass is a front side window whenever the doors are on. Jeep’s 2024 Canadian press kit lists acoustic front glass as standard on the High Altitude, Rubicon X and Rubicon 392, and it’s no more legal to film than any other front pane.
  • Windshield. The Wrangler’s folds down on a four-bolt frame, but upright on the road it’s held to the same 75 mm strip.
  • Rear window. If a doors-off setup ever leaves the Jeep without an outside mirror on both sides, film on the back glass no longer meets the rule.

If you ask, the shop will put film on the front doors or the whole windshield. It isn’t road-legal in BC, it can lead to a fine and an order to take the film off, and the shop explains that before you decide. Front window tint in BC covers the rest.

How do you book Wrangler tint in Langley?

Tell the shop the year, how many doors, the trim and top, and whether the rear glass is the factory sunscreen glass. Then choose between ATC, the privacy film in the starting price; IRX, which rejects the most heat; and AIR, which controls heat without darkening the glass. Most Jeeps are done the same day.

Don’t roll the windows down for three to five days; some haze during the first week is expected and disappears as the film dries. Book through the Wrangler tint quote form or text 604 534 6433. Larger SUVs are covered on the SUV window tint page.

Questions about jeep Wrangler window tint

01Does the tint come off when I take the hardtop off?

No. The film is bonded to the inside face of the glass, so it stays with the hardtop's windows while the top sits in storage. Store the top where nothing can scratch the inside of the glass.

02My Wrangler Sport has clear rear glass. Is that unusual?

No. Jeep lists deep-tinted sunscreen rear and quarter windows as an option on the Sport and standard on the other trims, so a Sport can leave the factory with lighter glass.

03Is a two-door Wrangler cheaper to tint?

With no rear doors, a two-door carries fewer panes behind the driver, so the shop prices the glass that's actually there instead of the four-door package.

04Which film keeps a Wrangler cooler with the top on?

IRX, LLumar's infrared-rejecting ceramic. The spec sheet rates it at 50 to 62% total solar energy rejected, where ATC sits at 28 to 44%.
