How is Wrangler PPF priced?
From four LLumar Platinum packages, $850 to $4,000 before tax, adjusted to your Jeep. The package names describe a car, and a Wrangler’s mix of painted and unpainted parts changes what each one actually covers.
| Package | From | Covers | On a Wrangler |
|---|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | $850 | Full bumper, partial hood and fenders, headlights, mirrors | Most useful on a High Altitude’s painted bumpers |
| Full Front | $1,550 | Full hood, fenders and bumper, headlights, mirrors | The whole hood and the front flares where they’re painted |
| Track Package | $1,900 | Full Front plus partial roof, A-pillars, rockers | Adds the windshield frame and the sills |
| Full Vehicle | $4,000 | All painted surfaces, headlights | Doors, rear flares, tub sides and swing gate |
Platinum heals light swirls with heat and comes in gloss or matte. LLumar’s 10-year limited warranty applies, and the shop’s terms list four defects it covers: yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling. Film edges are tucked round panel edges where possible; when a relief cut can’t be avoided, you see where it goes first.
Which Wrangler panels are aluminum, and does it change anything?
Most of the closures are. Jeep’s 2024 Canadian press kit lists aluminum doors, door hinges, hood, fender flares and windshield frame, plus a magnesium swing gate, and the 2026 specifications describe an “open steel and aluminum body” on a ladder frame. Jeep introduced this JL generation in its November 2017 launch kit as a 2018 model, so it applies to every Wrangler from 2018 on.
For the film it makes no difference: PPF bonds to the paint, whatever metal is under it. What matters is which way the panels face, and on a Wrangler the hood and windshield frame point straight into the road.
Which parts of a Wrangler’s front end are painted?
Fewer than on most SUVs, and it depends on the trim. That’s the first thing to settle, because a front package is built around paint.
| Wrangler front-end part | Finish Jeep lists |
|---|---|
| Grille surround, 2024 on | Body colour, with black or metallic slots and bezels |
| Fender flares, Sport and Sport S, 2026 | Black, one-piece |
| Fender flares, Sahara and Moab 392, 2026 | Two-piece, body colour with a black lower |
| Bumpers, High Altitude | Body colour |
| Bumpers, Rubicon X | Steel |
| Rock rails, Rubicon and Moab 392, 2026 | Black-painted steel |
The 2026 feature list also offers a Capability Group with front and rear steel bumpers and a Warn winch on the Rubicon. On a Jeep with black flares and steel bumpers, the painted surface up front is mainly the hood and grille surround, so Full Front gives better value than Partial Front. Body-colour flares stick out into the spray from the front tires, which makes them worth covering.
Where does an upright Wrangler take stone chips?
On the surfaces that face forward: the leading edge of the hood, the grille surround, the windshield frame and the front of the flares. Behind the front wheels, the tub sides and rear flares catch what the tires throw.
Trail use adds scratches from brush along the doors and flares. The off-road PPF page explains which package suits a Jeep that leaves the pavement; for gravel use the shop can fit LLumar Platinum Extra, which LLumar describes as its thickest film, on request. Film stops chips and light scratches, not dents.
How do you book PPF for a Wrangler in Langley?
Send the year, two-door or four-door, trim, top and any steel bumpers, winch or aftermarket flares, along with the package you’re considering and gloss or matte. Ask through the quote form for PPF, or text 604 534 6433 with the details.
A Partial Front job is normally one day; Full Front and Track need one to two, and Full Vehicle three to five. The paint is decontaminated and, if needed, corrected first. Hold off washing for a week, and after that keep the pressure wand clear of film edges. If you’re weighing film against a colour change, PPF vs vinyl wrap compares the two.
