How is an NX’s rear glass priced?
$260 covers the NX’s back door window, its rear door glass and any side glass behind those doors in LLumar ATC; the shop calls this its SUV rear package. Choosing IRX or AIR raises the price by package, and any roof glass gets a figure of its own.

On the shop’s plotter, every piece is cut from an NX-specific pattern, and the installer shrinks it to the glass with heat, so the only thing that meets your trim is film. Film and workmanship carry a lifetime warranty. Prices for other bodies sit on the window tint page.
Which NX grades have a glass roof?
All of them can, but the type depends on the grade. Lexus’s 2022 NX launch release calls the panoramic moonroof “a first for the NX”, so roof glass only became a big pane with this generation.
Lexus USA’s 2026 NX specification sheet splits it this way:

What should you know about the NX’s back door glass?
It’s legal to film at any shade, and two NX features are worth mentioning at booking. Lexus fits a tonneau cover on every 2026 US grade, per the same specification sheet, so cargo is already out of sight; darker rear film mostly adds privacy and heat control for the cabin.
The second is the Digital Rearview Mirror. Lexus’s technology rundown for the 2022 NX describes it as the NX’s “first-ever available digital mirror”, fed by an HD camera, and the 2026 sheet lists it as standard on the Luxury grade and available on Premium and F SPORT Handling. If your NX has one, say so, and the installer will check where the camera looks out before any film goes on the back glass.
Whether the rear glass already has a factory tint is the other thing to settle. The 2026 sheet doesn’t list privacy glass, so look at your own NX in daylight. What can go on an NX’s glass under BC law?
Behind the driver, any shade is legal, back door glass included, because the NX carries a mirror outside on each side. Lexus lists power-folding outside mirrors as standard on every 2026 US grade, which satisfies the mirror condition in MVAR s. 7.05(8)(c).
Front doors are another story: no film at all, even clear, is road-legal beside the driver, and windshield film is limited to the top 75 mm. Front-door film still goes on if you ask, once the shop has set out the risks: a ticket is usually $109, the police can order removal, and the NX would fail an inspection. Which LLumar film suits an NX?
ATC is the dyed film in the $260 price and comes in 5, 15, 35 and 50%. IRX is the nano-ceramic step up for a cooler cabin, and AIR looks nearly clear yet still takes heat out.
LLumar’s performance data puts ATC’s total solar energy rejection (TSER) between 28 and 44%, and IRX’s between 50 and 62%. AIR 80 transmits 77% of visible light yet posts a 60% IR energy rejection (IRER) figure. UV blocking is above 99% on all three, good news for rear passengers on a long July drive.
What should you send to book NX tint?
Your NX’s year, grade and powertrain, and whether its roof is the moonroof or the panorama glass. Mention the Digital Rearview Mirror if yours has one. You’ll get back the rear package figure, the ceramic difference, and roof pricing if requested.
An NX is normally finished within two to four hours and goes home that day. Leave all the tinted glass closed until three to five days have passed; after that, wipe the film using a soft cloth and an ammonia-free product.
