How much does Mazda3 window tint cost?
$240 for the sedan’s rear glass in LLumar ATC, under the shop’s sedan rear package. The hatchback, ceramic film and the moonroof are each quoted for the car.
| Mazda3 glass | Film | From |
|---|---|---|
| Sedan: rear doors and back window | LLumar ATC dyed | $240 |
| Sedan rear glass in ceramic | LLumar IRX or AIR | Quoted per package |
| Mazda3 Sport hatchback, rear glass | Any | Quoted per vehicle |
| Moonroof | Any | Quoted per vehicle |
| Front doors | Any | $140, not road-legal in BC |
| Windshield, inside face | Any | $200; BC permits just the top 75 mm |
The price covers genuine LLumar film cut on the plotter for your body style and year, heat-shrunk to the glass by hand, with a lifetime warranty on the film and the workmanship. How the sedan package is counted is explained on the sedan window tint page.
Is the Mazda3 sedan tinted differently from the Mazda3 Sport?
Yes, because the glass behind the rear doors is different. Mazda Canada sells the Mazda3 as a sedan and as the Mazda3 Sport hatchback, both in GX, GS, GT and GT Turbo trims. Mazda’s 2025 US spec deck gives them the same 107.3-inch wheelbase, but the sedan is 183.5 inches long against the hatchback’s 175.6.
The sedan finishes in a trunk lid under a sloped back window; the hatchback ends in a liftgate with its own glass. The plotter holds a separate pattern for each, so tell the shop which body you have, as well as the year.
How light is the Mazda3’s factory rear glass?
Light. The 2025 spec deck lists equipment row by row for both bodies and every trim, and it has no privacy glass line for either one. That makes the Mazda3 easier to plan than an SUV with dark factory glass, because the film does nearly all of the darkening.
LLumar’s performance data sheet measures each shade on clear 6 mm glass. ATC 35 lets through 38% of visible light and ATC 15 lets through 18%; IRX 35 lets through 39% while rejecting 54% of total solar energy, against 35% for ATC 35. Real cars vary a little with their glass, but on a Mazda3 those figures are a fair guide to what you’ll see.
Where does the Mazda3’s windshield camera sit?
At the top of the windshield, exactly where BC allows a tint strip. Mazda Canada’s sedan page describes the Traffic Sign Recognition camera as “mounted at the top of the windscreen”, and the same Forward Sensing Camera feeds Smart Brake Support and the lane-keep system.
The owner’s manual’s FSC section tells owners to keep film, stickers and accessories off the windshield near that camera, clear film included. A 75 mm sun strip therefore has to be cut to leave the glass in front of that camera bare. The answer on windshield tint and ADAS cameras compares Mazda’s wording with other makers’.
What tint can a Mazda3 legally have in BC?
Any shade on the rear doors and the back glass, since every Mazda3 has an outside mirror on each side. MVAR s. 7.05(8) allows no film on the front door windows and limits the windshield to its top 75 mm.
The shop installs front-door film on request, but it isn’t road-legal: a driver can be fined $109 and ordered to remove it, and a Mazda3 with it fails a provincial inspection. That’s explained before you decide, and front window tint in BC has the detail.
How do you book Mazda3 tint in Langley?
Tell the shop the year, whether it’s the sedan or the Mazda3 Sport, the trim, and whether there’s a moonroof. Add the film and shade you’re considering and the reply comes back with the price.
Allow two to four hours; most cars go home the same day. The windows stay closed for three to five days afterwards so the film can cure. Book through the Mazda3 tint quote form, and if the nose is collecting chips, look at Mazda3 PPF for the same visit.
