Nissan Kicks Window Tint in Langley, BC

At a glance

Tinting a Nissan Kicks at Brookswood Tint starts at $260 for the rear windows in LLumar ATC, the SUV rear package, with a lifetime warranty on film and labour; ceramic IRX or AIR costs more and is priced per package. Your trim matters here: Nissan Canada lists rear privacy glass on the SV and above but not on the base S, so the same film looks lighter on an S.

What’s the price to tint a Nissan Kicks?

A Kicks starts at $260 for everything behind the front seats in LLumar ATC. That’s the shop’s SUV rear package: the rear door windows, any fixed side glass and the liftgate window, plotter-cut for the model year so no blade goes near the glass or seals.

Kicks glass Coverage From
Rear package, ATC Rear doors, fixed side glass, liftgate window $260
Rear package, IRX or AIR ceramic Same windows Quoted per package
Panoramic moonroof SV Premium, SR and SR Premium Quoted per vehicle
Front door glass 2 $140; breaks BC’s tint rule
Windshield, from the inside Full $200, not road-legal in BC

Film and workmanship are both under a lifetime warranty. A visit that combines the rear package with ceramic or the roof is usually priced below the separate figures added up. Every package is on the tint price list.

Does your Kicks trim have factory privacy glass?

Only from the SV up. On Nissan Canada’s 2027 Kicks specifications, “Tinted windows” appears on every trim, but “Rear privacy glass” is listed only on these:

2027 Kicks trim Rear privacy glass Panoramic moonroof
S FWD, S AWD Not listed No
SV FWD, SV AWD Yes No
SV Premium AWD Yes Yes
SR AWD, SR Premium AWD Yes Yes
Rock Creek AWD Yes No

That one line changes the advice. On an S, the shade you choose is close to the result you get, because there’s no dark layer underneath it. On an SV, SR or Rock Creek, film sits on glass that’s already dark, and the two multiply. Earlier model years aren’t covered by this table, so give the shop your year.

Which film shade suits an S, and which suits an SV or SR?

On an S, pick the look you want straight from the film: ATC or IRX at 35% gives a mid shade, and 15% or 5% goes properly dark. On an SV, SR or Rock Creek, start lighter, or choose near-clear AIR 80 and keep Nissan’s factory shade.

Film and glass multiply: 20% film on glass that passes 20% of the light leaves about 4%. Nissan publishes no transmission number for the Kicks privacy glass, so stand beside the car in daylight with the shop’s samples. For heat, LLumar’s performance data shows IRX rejecting 50–62% of total solar energy against 28–44% for ATC, while AIR 80 passes 77% of visible light and still rejects 60% of IR energy (IRER). All of them stop over 99% of UV. The trade-off between film and factory glass is laid out in window tint versus factory privacy glass.

What does Nissan say about the Kicks windshield?

Keep the camera area clear. Nissan’s 2025 Kicks owner’s manual places the lane camera unit above the inside mirror and tells owners: “Do not attach a sticker (including transparent material) or install an accessory near the camera unit.” It also describes a multi-sensing front camera on the windshield, in front of the mirror, that reads speed-limit signs.

Add BC’s limit of 75 mm at the top of the glass and a Kicks windshield is best left alone. If glare from the top edge bothers you, a strip within that 75 mm is the only legal windshield film, and with the camera housing sitting up there, talk it through with the shop first. Windshield tint with a driver-assist camera explains why even a narrow strip needs care.

Front door film on a Kicks: what BC allows

None. MVAR s. 7.05(8) permits film behind the driver, on the rear window when there are outside mirrors on both sides, and in the top 75 mm of the windshield. The Kicks’ front doors are beside the driver, so even a clear film there is outside the rule, ticketed at typically $109 and rejected at inspection under item 13d.

This matters most on an S, where dark film on the rear windows can make the bare front doors stand out. The shop will fit front film if you insist and explains the risk before you decide; can you tint front windows in BC has the full picture.

Getting a Kicks booked in

Send the model year and trim, for example a 2027 SV AWD or SR Premium, plus the film you have in mind and whether the moonroof is in. You’ll get the rear package price back, plus a figure for ceramic or the roof if you asked about them. Most compact SUVs are done in a day. Book through the Kicks tint quote form; the SUV window tint page explains how the rear package is put together.

Questions about nissan Kicks window tint

01Is the Kicks Rock Creek's rear glass already dark?

Nissan Canada lists rear privacy glass on the 2027 Rock Creek, so yes. Film on top will finish darker than its number, so start lighter than you would on an S.

02Can I match the back of a Kicks S to an SV?

Usually, yes. The S has no factory privacy glass listed, so a darker film on its rear windows can bring it close to the look of an SV. Compare the two in person before choosing a shade.

03Does the Kicks moonroof get tinted with the side windows?

It can be, on the trims that have one, but it's priced on its own. Ask for it in the same booking so the car is done in one visit.

04How long does a Kicks take to tint?

Plan on two to four hours for a full tint, and most cars go home the same day. Afterwards, leave the windows up for three to five days while the film cures.
