How much is window tint on a Subaru BRZ?
The BRZ rear glass starts at $220 in LLumar ATC dyed film, which is the shop’s sports coupe package. IRX and AIR ceramic are priced on the same three panes when you ask.

Included: genuine LLumar film, plotted by computer from the BRZ’s own pattern, so no knife is run along the glass or the black window trim Subaru fits. LLumar backs the film with its lifetime limited warranty; the shop puts its own lifetime warranty on the labour.
Which BRZ windows does the coupe package cover?
Three: a small quarter window on each side behind the doors, and the back glass. Subaru Canada lists the BRZ as a 2+2 with seating for four and three-point belts in the back, so those quarters sit right beside the rear passengers’ heads.
The back glass is fixed in the body above a trunk, not set in a lifting hatch; Subaru’s BRZ specifications give cargo access as a trunk and list a rear window defogger with timer. Film goes on the inside face, straight over the heating lines, and it’s shaped to the curve with a heat gun from outside before it’s laid in. Removal, if it’s ever needed, is done with steam so nothing scrapes the grid; tinting over defroster lines explains why the grid survives.
What does EyeSight mean for tinting a BRZ windshield?
It means leaving the camera zone alone. Subaru Canada says all BRZ models carry EyeSight as standard, now with stereo cameras that have a wider field of view plus a wide-angle mono camera, and Subaru of America’s BRZ features page adds that this includes manual-transmission cars.
EyeSight reads the road through the windshield, and a Subaru service bulletin on EyeSight cars says “inside or outside water-repellant windshield coatings must never be used”, which shows how carefully Subaru treats that glass. In any case, BC only allows a 75 mm band of film along the windshield’s top edge. Check your owner’s manual before asking for even that strip, and read windshield tint near an ADAS camera first.
Subaru lists the BRZ windshield as laminated with UV protection. Side and back glass is where film adds most of the UV blocking.
Which LLumar film suits a BRZ?
Choose the shade for looks and the film line for heat. At a similar darkness, ceramic IRX rejects far more solar energy than dyed ATC, while AIR keeps the glass close to clear.

LLumar’s performance data sheet gives these on 6 mm clear test glass. Subaru publishes no light-transmission number for BRZ glass, and film darkens on top of any tint already in the glass, so look at a sample on the car. The coupe tint page lays out every shade.
Can a BRZ have its door windows tinted in BC?
Not legally. On a two-door BRZ the door glass is beside both front seats, and MVAR s. 7.05(8) lets film go on side glass behind the driver, the windshield’s top 75 mm, and rear glass on a car with mirrors left and right, which every BRZ has.
Clear film on the doors breaks the same rule. Expect a ticket of about $109, and police may also order the film removed and the BRZ inspected. The shop fits the $140 door job only on request, after explaining that risk; the front-window rule covers the detail.
