Toyota Grand Highlander Window Tint in Langley

At a glance

Window tint on a Toyota Grand Highlander starts at $260 at Brookswood Tint for the rear-glass package in LLumar ATC, with IRX or AIR ceramic quoted per package and a lifetime warranty on film and labour. The Grand Highlander is longer than the Highlander and has its own glass, so it's cut from its own pattern. On a Platinum, the film stays clear of the camera behind the back glass.

From $260 for the glass behind the front seats in LLumar ATC: the rear door windows, the quarter glass and the back door glass. IRX nano-ceramic or near-clear AIR on the same windows is quoted per package.

The price covers genuine LLumar film cut on the shop’s plotter, so the pieces arrive at the glass already shaped and no blade touches the trim, plus a lifetime warranty on the film and the work. A whole-vehicle booking usually comes in under the list prices added together. See all the packages on the window tint price list.

Can a Grand Highlander use the Highlander’s tint pattern?

No. Toyota Canada’s 2026 specifications put the Grand Highlander at 5,114 mm long on a 2,949 mm wheelbase, against 4,951 mm and 2,850 mm for the Highlander, and Toyota uses the extra room for what it calls an adult-sized third row.

Toyota’s 2027 lineup release points to “large side glass for outward visibility” and wide rear door openings for third-row access. Bigger panes take bigger film, cut from the Grand Highlander’s own pattern. The model is young: Toyota Canada announced the first-ever Grand Highlander as a 2024 model reaching dealers in summer 2023, so every Grand Highlander so far belongs to the first generation. The sister model’s page is Toyota Highlander window tint.

Which Grand Highlander windows are acoustic glass?

The windshield and the two front side windows. Toyota Canada lists that acoustic glass as standard in its 2027 release, along with sound-deadening material through the body, to keep the cabin quiet.

Acoustic glass is laminated, and film goes on its inside face just as it does on tempered glass; tinting acoustic laminated side glass explains it. On a Grand Highlander, though, those acoustic panes are exactly the ones BC keeps clear. MVAR s. 7.05(8) permits film only behind the driver, on the rear window with mirrors on both sides, and on the top 75 mm of the windshield. Front-door film is fitted on request, but it isn’t road-legal, it fails item 13d of the 2025 Vehicle Inspection Manual, and a ticket can come with an order to remove it. The shop explains that first; can you tint front windows in BC has the detail.

What should Platinum owners know about the back glass?

Leave a window for the camera. The Platinum is the 2026 grade with the Digital Rear-view Mirror, and Toyota’s 2026 Grand Highlander owner’s manual is specific: when applying coloured film, “including transparent film”, to the rear window glass, don’t cover the area in front of the camera, or the image may not display properly.

So on a Platinum the back glass film is cut with that patch left open, and the rest of the window is tinted as normal. The same manual says not to let window cleaner or glass coatings reach that camera. Mention the digital mirror when you book; on other grades the back glass is filmed edge to edge.

How do the panoramic roof and second-row shades fit in?

Both stay in use. The 2027 release lists second-row sunshades from the XLE up, and the 2026 specifications add a panoramic moonroof on the Limited and Platinum, which the manual pairs with an electronic sunshade.

Roof glass is a separate quote from the side package; the sunroof and panoramic roof tint page explains how it’s handled. Tell the shop which grade you have so the installer knows about the door shades before starting. The Platinum’s 10-inch head-up display and the forward camera for Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 both use the windshield, one more reason to leave it alone below the top 75 mm.

How do you book Grand Highlander tint in Langley?

Send the model year, grade and powertrain, the film you’re considering and whether the roof is in. You’ll get the rear package price plus any ceramic or roof figure.

Most are finished the same day. Keep the windows up for three to five days and clean the film only with soft microfibre and ammonia-free cleaner. Book through the Grand Highlander tint quote form, and for the paint, see PPF for the Toyota Grand Highlander.

Questions about grand Highlander window tint

01Does the Grand Highlander come with dark rear windows from the factory?

Toyota Canada's 2026 specification table doesn't list privacy glass for any Grand Highlander grade, so check your own. If the rear windows look darker than the front doors in daylight, pick a lighter film than you planned, because the two layers add up.

02Is a 2024 Grand Highlander cut the same as a 2027?

Give the shop the exact year and grade. The 2024 was the first model year, and the pattern is matched to the model year you drive rather than assumed.

03Can the Platinum's digital rear-view mirror still work with tinted back glass?

Yes, as long as the film stays off the patch of glass in front of its camera. Toyota's 2026 manual says film, clear or coloured, shouldn't cover that area, so the installer leaves it open.

04How long is a Grand Highlander in the shop?

SUVs usually take two to four hours for a full tint and most go home the same day. Leave the windows up for three to five days afterwards.
