How is a BMW 3 Series chrome delete priced?
Each car is priced on the bright pieces it actually has. Pictures of the front, each side and the rear are enough to quote from.

The shop’s two vinyl brands, 3M and Avery Dennison, both make cast film in gloss and satin black, and the shop’s published terms give the vinyl a 5-year manufacturer warranty. Badges and mirror caps are removed when that’s safe, so the film can wrap around the back of the part rather than end in a line you can see.
Which trim is bright on your 3 Series?
It depends on the line and the year. In the 2019 3 Series’ launch kit and the 2024 press kit, BMW describes the exterior finishes like this:

The 2024 kit is BMW’s worldwide document, so a Canadian car can differ. A car bought used may also have had trim changed. Photos settle it, and the quote covers only what’s actually bright.
What is the kidney grille surround on a G20?
It’s the single frame around both halves of the grille. BMW’s launch kit says the kidney grille elements “are framed by a single surround and split up by wide bars that link to the headlight units”.
That matters if your bars are already black: the surround is a separate part, and it’s the piece a grille blackout is about. On a Luxury Line car, the chrome intake trims sit lower in the bumper and are quoted with the grille. Grille chrome delete describes how grilles are handled.
Does the 2027 3 Series come with less chrome?
Some buyers will get black parts straight from BMW. In BMW Canada’s 2027 release, the M Sport Pro package brings the mirror caps and rear spoiler in black, and the BMW badge moves into a “valley” above the kidneys at the front and between the rear lights at the back.
Two details to raise when you book a 2027 car:
- Window finisher strip. On gasoline models, BMW hides the vertical window seals behind the window recess finisher strip. Check its finish on your car before deciding whether it needs vinyl.
- Lit kidney contours. BMW Iconic Exterior Illumination outlines the kidneys in light, standard on M Performance models. Vinyl would block that light, so the plan has to work around it.
