How much does PPF cost on a BMW 3 Series?
There are four packages, priced from $850 up to $4,000. Treat each as a floor: the M Sport bumper’s extra openings, the version of the car and the state of the paint can move it up.
| Package | Panels on a 3 Series | From | Time in the shop |
|---|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | The front bumper and headlights, both mirrors, and a band across the nose of the hood and fenders | $850 | A day, as a rule |
| Full Front | Both front fenders and the hood corner to corner, with bumper, headlights and mirrors | $1,550 | One or two days |
| Track Package | A-pillars, rockers and the roof’s front edge on top of Full Front | $1,900 | One or two days |
| Full Vehicle | Every painted surface, headlight lenses included | $4,000 | Three to five days |
Platinum heals light marks with heat, it’s cut by software for the car, and the installer tucks its edges around each panel where the shape permits. Platinum Gloss carries a 10-year limited warranty from LLumar. The shop’s published terms say that warranty covers four defects: yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling. A matte version turns gloss paint satin, if that’s the look you want.
Where does a 3 Series pick up stone chips?
At the front, and mostly along the hood’s leading edge and the bumper below it. BMW’s 2019 launch kit says the hood “sits flush with the upper edge of the headlights and kidney grill” at its front, so in the shop’s view nothing shields that edge from grit thrown up by traffic ahead.
The same kit says making the hood and front fenders from aluminum saves almost 33 lbs, and the 2024 press kit still lists the bonnet and front side panels as aluminum. Those are exactly the panels a Full Front covers edge to edge, while a Partial Front stops partway along them.
The M Sport versions add their own shapes. BMW gives the M340i large air intakes in the front apron and exterior mirror caps in Black high-gloss, and both are covered by the front packages. If your daily drive includes Highway 1, compare the two front options on partial vs full front PPF.
What sensors are built into a 3 Series bumper?
Parking sensors at both ends on current cars, and radar on cars with the assistance options. BMW’s 2024 kit lists Park Distance Control with sensors at the front and rear as standard. The 2019 kit describes radar sensors in the rear apron for Cross-Traffic Alert, and a front-facing radar working with a trifocal camera on cars with Driving Assistant Professional.
Each piece comes from a template drawn for the exact model, so give the shop your car’s option list and it can match the right one. Ask how the sensor areas will be handled on your bumper before anything is cut, so there are no surprises at pickup.
Does the 2027 3 Series change the PPF job?
Yes, because almost every body panel is new. BMW Canada’s 2027 launch release describes a slightly larger car with wider tracks, and a front end where the kidneys, the headlights and the front-mounted sensors form “a single visual unit”.
- M Sport package. Optional on the 330 xDrive and standard on M Performance models, it brings model-specific bumpers, side skirts and a diffuser, with body-colour skirts on gasoline cars.
- M Sport Pro package. Black exterior mirror caps and a black rear spoiler, so the mirrors come from BMW already darkened.
- Flush door handles. They extend automatically as you approach, which keeps the doors smooth.
In the shop’s view, body-colour skirts are painted panels in the line of fire from the front tires, and that’s where the rocker film in the Track Package pays off. BMW starts building the gasoline car in November 2026, so confirm with the shop that the film pattern matches your exact 2027 version.
How do you book PPF for a 3 Series in Langley?
Send the year, the version (330i, M340i, or the 2027 330 or M350), the paint colour and whether the car has the M Sport package. Before filming, the shop cleans bonded grime off the paint and polishes out defects where it has to.
Skip washing for seven days after pickup. Later washes should be by hand or touchless, never with brushes, and keep a pressure wand clear of the film’s edges. Ask for a figure on the 3 Series PPF quote form or at 604 534 6433. If you want the windows done while the car is in, 3 Series window tint lists those prices.
