What is there to chrome delete on a Charger?
Mostly badges, plus the exhaust tips. Dodge’s Canadian feature sheets show a car that is already dark in the places other models carry chrome, and they list no bright window surrounds on either generation.

Which Charger badges can be blacked out?
Any bright badge on the body can be covered in gloss or satin black vinyl, and Dodge’s own option packages show what the result looks like. On the 2023 car, the Blacktop Package swaps in Gloss Black badges and a Satin Black Charger deck-lid badge; the SRT Black Package on the Hellcats uses Midnight Metallic badging with Satin Black deck-lid and taillamp badges; and the HEMI Orange Package adds a black Dodge grille badge.
Some badges went the other way. Dodge’s 2020 fact sheet introduced two-piece SRT Hellcat fender badges in Satin Chrome on the Hellcat Widebody, and those can be covered like any other badge. Can the exhaust tips be part of a Charger chrome delete?
Not in vinyl. The shop’s packages wrap exhaust tips only where they’re chrome-plated plastic, and where Dodge names the material, it’s metal: a stainless-steel dual exhaust with integrated bright tips on the 2023 SXT and, per the 2026 Canadian press kit, bright, rolled, stainless-steel tips on the SIXPACK cars. Other 2023 trims list their tips only as bright, so check yours at the quote.
Dodge sells the dark version as parts. The 2023 SRT Black Package fits black tips to the Hellcats, and the 2026 kit says the 100 mm tips come in bright or Eclipse chrome, with Eclipse included in the Blacktop Package. A dealer can quote those tips if you want the exhaust to match the vinyl.
Should a Charger’s trim go gloss or satin black?
Match what’s already there. Dodge finishes the mirrors and, on the 2026 car, the whole roof in Gloss Black, which suits gloss vinyl. Satin hides fingerprints and sits closer to the Satin Black deck-lid badges Dodge uses on its darker packages. The shop holds samples against the car before cutting.
A blackout often goes with smoked lamps. Before you add light film, read the Charger headlight and taillight tint page, because filmed lamps can fail a BC inspection.
