Which Range Rover Sport trim can be blacked out?
The same eight pieces Land Rover darkens itself. The Range Rover Sport options page lists the Black Exterior Package contents, and a vinyl delete works through that list on a Sport that didn’t get it.
| Trim piece | Black Exterior Package finish | Vinyl delete |
|---|---|---|
| Grille | Gloss Black | Gloss or satin black |
| Grille surround | Narvik Black | Gloss or satin black |
| Bumper aperture ingot | Narvik Black | Gloss or satin black |
| Range Rover script badging | Narvik Black | Gloss or satin black |
| Lower front splitter | Narvik Black | Gloss or satin black |
| Side vent ingot | Narvik Black | Gloss or satin black |
| Rear valance | Narvik Black | Gloss or satin black |
| Rear tow eye cover | Narvik Black | Gloss or satin black |
A footnote on that page says three of them, the bumper aperture ingot, side vent ingot and rear valance, are “only available on Range Rover Sport Dynamic models”, so the bright pieces differ by trim and the shop works from what’s actually on your Sport. Small badges and lettering are covered in more detail on badge blackouts.
Which Range Rover Sport models already leave the factory dark?
Several, which is why photos come before a quote. Land Rover Canada’s Sport specifications set out the exterior package for each model:
| Model | Exterior package as listed |
|---|---|
| Dynamic SE, Autobiography | Dynamic Exterior Package |
| Battersea Edition | Black Exterior Package |
| SV | SV Black Exterior Package |
| SV Black | SV Gloss Black Exterior Package |
| SV Carbon | SV Carbon Fibre Exterior Package, forged carbon |
Options add more: the Enhanced Black Package includes the Black Exterior Package, and the Stealth Package an Extended Black Exterior Package. Land Rover doesn’t list what the Dynamic Exterior Package changes, so on those trims the shop goes piece by piece from your photos.
What stays uncovered on a Range Rover Sport?
Lenses, lamps and carbon. Land Rover’s surround camera system with ClearSight Ground View relies on cameras around the body, and the shop leaves any trim that houses or borders one untouched.
On an SV Carbon, the grille, vents and exhaust tips carry Forged or Twill carbon finishers, according to the Range Rover Sport SV page; there’s nothing to delete there. The Autobiography and SV models also list integrated quad tailpipes. Exhaust finishers run hot, which matters for vinyl, so raise them separately if they bother you. Lamps aren’t part of a delete at all.
Gloss or satin black for a Range Rover Sport’s trim?
Gloss sits closest to the factory: Land Rover pairs a Gloss Black grille with Narvik Black trim in its own package. Satin reads flatter and quieter.
The shop’s take: satin black pairs well with a Sport in Land Rover’s Satin Protective Film, while a gloss-painted Sport usually looks most factory with gloss. Samples of both can be held against your trim before you decide. Vinyl isn’t the only way to black out trim, and vinyl versus paint versus Plasti Dip compares the options.
How do I get a Range Rover Sport chrome delete quote?
Send the year, model and any exterior package, plus close photos of each bright piece from the front, side and back. Say gloss or satin.
The quote lists every piece the vinyl covers and anything left as is. Vinyl on this job is warranted 5 years under the shop’s terms. Start with the chrome delete quote form; 604 534 6433 reaches the shop if you’d rather ask first. A black roof or full colour change can be planned at the same time through a Range Rover Sport wrap.
