How is a Model 3 chrome delete priced?
Per car, by the pieces you want done. The window trim, the badges, or both are quoted from photos, and the price depends on how many pieces are bright on your build and whether any must come off.
| Scope | Pieces on a Model 3 | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Window trim | Upper brightwork on each side, plus the trim around each rear quarter window | Quoted per car |
| Badges | Rear Tesla badge, front badge, and any model or Performance badge | Quoted per car |
| Full delete | Window trim and badges | Quoted per car |
Both brands’ cast films come in gloss and satin black, and the shop’s published terms give the vinyl a 5-year manufacturer warranty. For how vinyl stacks up against paint and spray-on coatings, see vinyl, paint or Plasti Dip.
Which bright trim does a Model 3 have?
Two window pieces per side and a handful of badges. On the 2017–2023 car, the upper brightwork runs above both doors and is held by a push rivet and ten screws over ten single-use grommets; Tesla’s procedure calls for an assistant to free its rear end from the rear quarter glass. The quarter brightwork frames that small rear window.
The 2024+ manual names the top strip a brightwork cap, fixed by five screws at the front and three at the rear, with nine grommets. Tesla’s manuals don’t record the finish on each build, so the quote covers whatever is actually bright on your car.
Why is the rear quarter trim the fiddly part?
Because it’s glued as well as clipped. To remove the 2017–2023 quarter brightwork, Tesla has its technicians take off the upper brightwork first, mask the area, pry the trim’s rear edge away from the glass and cut through the urethane that holds it to the body with a retractable blade, minding the clip that joins it to the upper strip.
A piece that has to be cut free isn’t one to pull off casually, so ask the shop whether it wraps this trim in place. The window glass sits close by too: Tesla’s owner guide on calibrating windows names “touches the bright molding” among the symptoms, and the fix is to run the glass to its stall points with the door switch. Sort that out before any vinyl goes on.
What should you know about the Model 3’s badges?
The rear ones are stuck on with adhesive, and one is single-use. The 2024+ rear Tesla badge is sawn off the trunk lid with monofilament line and the adhesive cleaned away. The rear Performance badge is stricter: Tesla says it “cannot be reinstalled if removed” and must be replaced with a new part.
So on a Performance car, either the badge is covered where it sits or you budget for a new one. The shop’s general approach to emblems is on badge blackouts.
How do you book a Model 3 chrome delete in Langley?
For a price, photograph the window trim on both sides and every badge, and give the year, trim and finish you want. Heat lifts the vinyl later, which suits leases and resale. Book on the chrome delete quote form or by phone or text at 604 534 6433. A darker lamp look to go with it is covered on Model 3 light tint.
