What do the PPF packages cost on an Audi Q7?
Each of the four Platinum packages has a starting figure, from $850 up to $4,000, and on a Q7 the final number can land above it. It’s a large SUV with a big hood and long flanks, and full-body film in particular is priced on the vehicle in front of the shop.
| Coverage | From | What’s filmed on a Q7 | Days |
|---|---|---|---|
| Partial Front | $850 | Bumper plus the forward strip of hood and fenders, lights and mirrors | 1 |
| Full Front | $1,550 | All of the hood and front fenders, bumper, headlights, mirrors | 1–2 |
| Track Package | $1,900 | Full Front, extended to the A-pillars, roof front and rockers | 1–2 |
| Full Vehicle | $4,000 | Every painted surface, headlights included | 3–5 |
Warmth from the sun or the engine lets Platinum’s top coat level out light marks. The film is plotted from software templates, and its edges are tucked behind a panel where the shape lets them be. LLumar puts a 10-year limited warranty on Platinum Gloss, and the shop’s published terms name yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling. Weighing more than the front? Full front versus full body PPF compares the two.
How does the revised Q7’s front end change the film plan?
Audi rebuilt the nose for the 2024 update: headlights placed higher, a grille with new vertical inlays and “prominent, color-framed air intakes,” according to its revised Q7 release. The S line exterior goes further, with “strongly accentuated side air intakes in the front bumper.”
On the base version, Audi finishes parts of the front bumper, the door trim and the diffuser in contrasting colours for an off-road look. Two Q7s from the same year can therefore have different amounts of body-colour bumper to protect, and the template differs between them. Send the version (base, S line or SQ7) with the year so the quote matches the surfaces your Q7 actually has.
What about the SQ7’s aluminium-look parts?
They aren’t paint, so they’re a separate decision. Audi gives the SQ7 a redesigned front spoiler, larger air intakes with honeycomb grilles, and an aluminium look for the exterior mirror housings, the Singleframe inlays and the edging of the side air intakes, with the same finish on the side-skirt inlay.
Mirrors are in every PPF package because they face the road. On an SQ7, settle at the quote whether the aluminium-look housings get film or are left as Audi finished them, and the same for the skirt inlays if you’re adding the Track Package.
Where are a Q7’s sensors and cameras?
Around the body. Audi says the Q7’s remote park assist plus “uses the camera in combination with the radar and ultrasonic sensors” to manoeuvre the car, so the film plan has to respect those sensors wherever they sit on your Q7.
The third-generation Q7 adds optional automatic doors with “extensive surround sensors” that stop a door before it meets an obstacle, per Audi’s third-generation release. Ask to see how the template handles the sensor openings on your year before it’s cut, and mention the automatic doors if your Q7 has them.
Booking a Q7 for paint protection in Langley
Send the year, the version, the colour and whether it has a Black optics package. The shop decontaminates the paint and corrects it where needed before any film goes down, which is part of why a Q7 is quoted rather than priced from a menu.
Plan on a single day for a Partial Front; Full Front and Track run a day or two, and full body three to five. Hold off washing for a week. Brush washes are out for good, a touchless bay or a hand wash is fine, and pressure-washer jets shouldn’t be pointed at the edges. Get a price through the Q7 PPF quote form or on 604 534 6433, and see Audi Q7 window tint if the glass is on your list too.
